Sony Bloggie MHS-TS20 8GB Touch Mobile HD Snap Camera - Silver

I have been using this camcorder for a month and must say that I am very impressed with its performance considering its price. Video quality: I found 1280x720, 60fps setting the best suited to its purpose. 30 fps is not smooth and 1920x1080 is too large for editing. Auto focus works well. Yes focus tries to adjust itself and it takes one or two seconds however it gives you sharper visuals than other camcorders with "infinite focus". Just do not pan your camcorder very fast (like a panic person) for best visual result. The colours are natural, not over blown, but not always accurate. Sound is clear and crisp. With its wide angle lens, you can capture more while you are close to your object or person. Large aperture enables you to shoot even in darker environment. Photo quality: Both 12 and 8 millions pixel settings offer good quality pictures. As always with a camera, the more the light, the cleaner the picture. Metal finish and strong built quality gives confidence to use in every situation. It switches on instantly. Having separate camera and video buttons makes it very easy to use. The software built in the camcorder installs quickly and works efficiently. When camcorder is connected, the software downloads new video and photos automatically. Viewing and playing back videos and photos are simple to operate on the touch screen. I have used it for over 10 days for heavily videoing, I only charged it once!!! and it still is not full!!!! Quality is okay, that is all. Should have bought a GoPro.

High quality High definition video camera which can also take stills. The camera comes with it's own editing and librarian software built in, although I prefer to use my own software. The USB plug is hidden away at the bottom of the camera and flips out when needed. There is also an HDMI socket for direct connection to a HiDef TV or computer. The video quality is very good but suffers in low light (like most cameras). There are only three buttons on the unit Power, still shot and start/stop record. The supplied adaptor lets you take 360 degree video, but I found this to be tricky to use. It only really works well if the camera is stationary and in the centre of the 'action'. The camera can be used in portrait or landscape mode and the playback views also change depending on orientation. Overall, very good quality video at 1080p, extremely well made metal casing, simple menus.

Outstanding in appearance. The whole product promises much. I'm on Windows 8 but I can't get the Bloggie to work. The instructions tell me to make certain the on/off switch is turned off but, after pressing the switch several times, there is no appearance of anything other than a flashing red light near the two switches. I've had it on 'charge' but it makes no differnce. I have tried going on-line to Sony but no connection is ever completed. Have plugged it into the PC using the USB system but nothing comes up that relates to the Sony Bloggie. Will see what happens when using my Windows 7 PC.

it was the worst ever experience i had with an Amazon market place vendor. 1. As per the product details, it comes with a 360 degree camera but it never did 2. First response from the market place vendor, Global Bargains UK was quick but after that the vendor never came back and completely forgot about the issue i raised. Amazon also showed inability in sending the missing part and advised to refund 3. Returns was easy as it was organised by Amazon 4. Could be due to my poor experience with this shopping but i also did not like the video or picture quality much.

This takes great videos, although the auto-focus can be a pain. However, the software does not load on to my Windows 7 PC and there is no software available for the Mac yet. There was also no support available so I'm not terrible impressed. The 360 degree films are completely pointless without the software, and all the social-upload features are also redundant without it. Another annoying feature is that the camera films in either portrait or landscape mode, depending on how you hold the camera. This means that if you mount the camera on a tripod through the connector in its base, you are forced to film in portrait mode with no software over-ride that I can see. It's possible that these problems may be fixed with future updates, but for the moment I would advise saving your money and sticking with Flip or Kodak.

Bought this for my son as he's really into animation at the moment. He finds it really easy to use and has used to make videos and still animations. It's the size of a big mobile phone & charges using the USB ports on his laptop. The quality of video and sound is great and just what he wanted. It's easy to transfer videos on to the computer. The price was good as I didn't want to spend lots of money incase he broke it or lost it. It's quite sturdy though! Would recommend for a teenager or if you wanted a small video camera to put in your pocket!

Works great. Easy to use and good for capturing those special moments. Charges by usb, which is attached to the bloogie itself. You can also capture still images while recording video. The touch screen is easy to use and useful for zooming in and out. Even the kids can use it.

je me sers du bloggie touch lors de visites "patrimoine" pour filmer les monuments et entendre le commentaire du guide. SAns avoir un rendu "professionnel", le niveau d'image et de son restent très corrects avec la possibilité de prendre des photos simultanément, d'une qualité très correcte comme "photo souvenir". utilisation TRES simple autant au moment de la prise d'images que pour les télécharger ensuite. Pour moi, il remplit pleinement son rôle

Excellent produit : bonne finition, ergonomie impeccable du niveau d'un produit Apple. Ce produit permet de faire facilement des films (et des photos) d'assez bonne qualité sans avoir à sortir le "lourd" caméscope ce qui est tout son intérêt. Nous en sommes très satisfait. Seul bémol: le logiciel d'import des photos/films à installer sur le PC qui manque de simplicité (il faut un peu fouiller pour retrouver les fichiers importés sur l'ordinateur).

I bought this for my wife for Christmas last year, and we returned it a week later. I have a Cisco Flip, and compared the Sony to it directly. The zoom on the Sony is very jumpy, not smooth like the Flip. The Audio on the Sony is terrible, you can hardly hear anything that you record. I recorded many scenes with both cameras, and then replayed them both on the camera, and later on the PC. On the Sony MHS TS20KP you have to hold your ear directly next to the speaker to hear anything, which means you cannot watch the video at the same time. When you play it on the computer, you have to turn the sound up very high, to the point where you hear many background and electrical disturbance noises also. With the Flip you can hear the video clearly when played on both the camera and a PC. I am not sure what happened for Sony to have such a poor Audio quality from their small cameras. I would not recommend this Bloggie to anyone, and this is coming from a big Sony fan. In the case of this product, it is unfortunately a flop.
