Best buy for the price. Temp reading is nearly instant. Don't know about quality or longevity, but you can buy multiples for the price of this one.

When you want the best results for your meat you gotta know the temp! Too Hot - Too Done. Too Cold - Yuck Pooie! This thermometer is good. The temps have been right on when compared to an old thermometer. The read is fast. The magnet holds it where you put it. It is east to clean, Not sure I would trust it being waterproof. One less star because the metal probe pulled out of the case. No worries when you have some super glue. A little dab will do ya!!

Works great, no issues to report. I've left the thermometer outside in the Arizona summer quite a few times and I have had no issues with it. It still operates like new. For those of you looking for a good thermometer, that's is consistently reliable, this is a great choice. Especially if you grill. The magnets are the perfect touch, I never lose this one because I stick it to my grill or fridge. I've lost countless others in junk drawers or the bottom of the dishwasher. Magnets work great on this. It's also one of the easiest to clean by far. I'm not sure what the metal is made of but it doesnt hold grease or food at all after a rinse.
