Govee hit out of the park with this kettle! I drink only tea and this kettle is perfect. I set a routine in Alexa and the smart kettle fires off 15 min prior to waking up. The hold feature is awesome, it holds for 2 hours max, I love having hot water ready and waiting. The auto shut off feature is ideal for safety reasons. It has a range of preset temps for different teas, formula etc. The build quality seems great, I hope it last for many years. Don't hesitate to purchase this kettle, you wont be sorry.

This kettle has made my life so much easier in the kitchen, be it our tea time routine or using boiling water for something else, it’s super quick and highly convenient. I was under the impression that 1.7 L could be a tad bit small, but nope! I was wrong, it’s a good size for a family of 4-6 people, and it’s not just good for tea or coffee, it’s extremely helpful for other chores as well. The water boils fairly quickly, I like that the infuser comes out easily which makes cleaning the kettle and the infuser a breeze. I clean the bottom every other day even when I don’t infuse tea leaves. It comes with a brush for cleaning, long handle, easy cleanup. I had connected it with Alexa and it works like a charm, you just give a simple command to Alexa and the water starts to boil on your command withing seconds. The variable temperature presets are spot-on for different teas (green, black, oolong), and the 2-hour keep-warm is good for multiple cups without reboiling. Not having to press a button and being able to operate it remotely is worth all the money. Good size, very well built product, looks good, works even better. Pro tip: I always use filtered water to prevent mineral buildup! Hope this helps!

Quite happy with the kettle, the build quality is better than the previous 2 ive gone through, incremental temperature adjustment and on top of that, i dont have to get out of bed to get my hot coffee water ready in the morning. The app is great.

I rarely write reviews. I also rarely buy appliances because I prefer to ask for them for Christmas and save myself money. But the Bluetooth on this thing called to me and I am so happy I gave in and bought it! I can TURN IT ON WHILE STILL IN BED!! Works perfectly with my Google Home app. I bought it because I’m lazy in the morning and hate waiting for my old loud electric kettle to heat up while eating breakfast. With the app, I can turn it on, set its temperature and check its temperature. It heats up to 212 degrees in less than two minutes for three cups. You can control it by the buttons manually and that requires no programming, of course. This thing’s biggest selling point is definitely the Bluetooth, though. You can set it to brew you something at a specific time every morning!! My phone AND watch will tell me when it’s ready!?! The future is awesome!!! (Older people, definitely ask for help with programming it from your more tech-savvy friends or family, however; I’m in my 30s and had no trouble, but my poor mother had no idea what she was doing when I got her one, haha!) I don’t use the diffuser, but it’s sturdy. The whole thing is sturdy and easy to clean. Looks small and snazzy on my counter. Quieter than my old kettle. Overall, this thing changed my morning routine to be more streamlined and easy, which is very important to me!!

Love the convenience of this smart electric kettle. I can start my hot water while still in my bedroom. The model I purchased, however, doesn't allow the modes to be modified, so setting a different temp requires manual adjustment. The kettle does save that new temp, at least. It has a cleaning reminder that is very helpful.

After 6 months of ownership, I’m beyond frustrated by this kettle. There are three issues that makes this a no go. This isn’t a “smart” kettle. It’s a dumb kettle with dumb app, dumb design and dumb support. Cleaning sucks. It’s hard to use. 1) The instructions say to only leave it completely dry to avoid build up. However, due to construction, you cannot physically empty the kettle completely. There will always be water left at the bottom. Unless you use two paper towels to dry it, you quickly get hard water buildup which causes it to boil much slower. Washing soap out is a pain since suds catch on the lip. 2) the lid is a terrible design. If you pour too fast, the lid pops out. The lid easily and frequently brakes into pieces that requires fiddling to reconstruct. 3) you cannot remotely turn the machine on. I wanted hot water in the morning when my alarm went off, but I cannot set it to boil on a schedule. Govee said this was a safety choice, but the kettle auto turns off if there is no water in it. 4) I bought this thinking there was glass and stainless steel. The temperature probe is glued in. The lids have multiple types of plastics and rubbers. 5) the temperature isn’t very accurate. I’ll frequently see +/- 3° F from the stated temp. This isn’t a big deal to me, but is important for those who are buying it for strict temp controls.

This one’s tough to rate honestly. Stuck at 3 stars and here’s why. The problems first. The top black plastic ring cracked completely and now separates from the metal body with no effort. The lid also broke (not pictured because it just sinks into the kettle if you try to put it in place). All of this happened in less than 6 months of normal use. Pretty disappointing for something that’s supposed to live on a kitchen counter long term. To be fair, this is a budget kettle, so it feels a little unfair to demand premium durability from it. That said, you spend money and you expect the item to last longer than this no matter the price tag. Cheap doesn’t mean disposable in 6 months. Now the good. The kettle itself still works. The heating element and base are doing their job just fine. You can set a specific temperature and choose how long you want it to keep the water hot, up to 2 hours. The smart features are genuinely useful when you’re brewing tea or pour over coffee and want precise temps. Capacity is 1.7 liters (about 57 oz), which is plenty for most uses. Value sits right in the middle for me. I’ve seen worse, I’ve seen better. You’re paying budget prices and getting budget build quality on everything except the heater itself. So now I have this Frankenstein kettle on my counter that looks like it should be in the trash but somehow keeps living. Every component has broken except the base and heater. 3 stars feels fair.
