Perfect item for a small kitchen extension…
Great item for my small kitchen that doesn’t have any central heating and is an extension. It’s freezing cold in the winter but now having had this Plinth Heater fitted it’s made a world of difference. Highly recommended. Well worth the money.

Good heating option when you have limited space & looks good, but a little expensive!
I installed one of these under-plinth heater units as part of my kitchen-diner refurbishment. The room is quite large overall (6m x 3m), but there was only one 800mm x 600mm radiator at the far end, which didn't have much effect by itself. This single radiator never seems to get very hot anyway, probably because it's on the end of a long 15mm pipe run. The unit was easy to install with the supplied flexible hoses, plumbing into the heating system via 15mm copper pipes. I also fitted a couple of full-bore service valves in case I ever need to remove the unit for servicing. There is a bleed screw at the front on the right, to remove any air. For the power supply, it requires a fused spur or plug with a 3A fuse. It gives off quite a lot of heat and warms up the room more quickly than a conventional panel radiator. The fan motor switches on automatically when the internal thermostat senses hot water passing through. The 'normal' speed setting is virtually silent, while the 'boost' setting is a little more noisy. There is also another switch which over-rides the thermostat, switching the fan on all the time. This is primarily to provide air circulation in the summer. I do think these units are a little expensive, so I've knocked a couple of stars off value for money. The finish overall is ok, although the exposed pipework looks a little shabby! There are a number of power options available for different room sizes. This one by itself would be a little under-powered for my kitchen-diner, but as there is an additional panel radiator at the other end of the room, the two units together provide adequate heat. Since I wrote my review, I've finally completed the plinth under the units & the heater is now fully fitted. I have to say, it looks very nice now that the fascia is framed by the plinth! I've added a couple of photos.

Space saving heater
This product is ideal in our kitchen in skirting boards as we have no room for a normal radiator. It’s added to our central heating so doesn’t cost extra to run. Can also be switched off if not needed. Highly recommended
