Cosmos 4K SE Portable Projector, 1,800 ANSI Lumens

I have owned the original Nebula Capsule, the Capsule 3 GTV and I just splurged and bought the Nebula Cosmos 4K SE projector after watching countless videos and reading many reviews for the last year and a half. Like the Capsules, the Cosmos 4K SE projector is very well made and you can feel the quality. I am thrilled and very happy with the Cosmos 4K SE. It's an amazing projector. Like the Capsule 3, set up with Google TV was a breeze and I was easily able to log into all my streaming apps like Netflix, Prime and YoutubeTv, and also added a couple new ones. The picture is flawless. So crisp and so clear from edge to edge. The colors are rich and bright and the image is incredible. I put on a couple YouTube 4K videos and the picture blew me away. The sound is also really, really good from the projector speakers. We have a Bose sound dock which we hide behind the screen and we connected via bluetooth and it sounded great no lag audio to video.I know the projector offers many different features, but so far I am just using Nebula Master setting, and the projector is sitting on a table which is level and no keystone adjustment necessary. I will have to spend some time checking out all the features later. The remote control is also backlighted which is very helpful if in a dark room. This projector is bright enough that I can leave on a light or two and the image is still good, but for the ideal image, a dark room is best. While it cost m much more than any other projector I own (and I own 7 ) , you get what you pay for for and I believe this will be my LAST projector purchase because I can't imagine anything better. It has everything I want..Google TV, bright picture, vibrant colors and great sound. While it isn't as portable as my Capsule, it isn't too large to move from room to room or take on a trip. I just love it and if you think you might want it, get it. You have 30 days to check it out, but I assure you you will keep it and love it too.

This is my first projector and I have no previous experience. I've had good TVs and monitors and I consider this a great projector. Even better for the price I paid on Black Friday. Very easy to install, lightweight to transport (4 kg). I'm using it on my living room wall and the image is incredible. The Anker sound is very good, too. I recommend it. The case is also very well built and practical for taking on trips.

After trying a bunch of projectors , I finally settled for this mighty one. The brightness and the picture quality of this projector is stunning and I am totally impressed what it delivers at this price point. I do not have the fancy screen and I just projected it on my dry wall and it's like watching a movie on a movie theatre screen. Imagine how the quality will be when using a good projector screen! It has Google TV which is a huge plus and i love installing various apps that are readily available to install and watch. The noise is very low and the set up is super easy! It has Dolby Vision which is a big deal to me ! This is a marvelous projector that's portable and bright enough. LOVE IT!

Update 11/26/2025 I'm warning you now DO NOT buy this!! It is a taking time bomb that would be riddled with performance issues sooner than you think. Don't let the nice picture fool you!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!! 😞 So sad that I have to update this review to a one-star. I no longer recommend this product. Way too many performance issues while viewing videos. Constantly having to recalibrate, refocus,recenter after each use. I've had times where it didn't even want to turn on after a cold start. Audio cutting in and out in the middle of a TV show. I've had cheaper projectors perform much better than this. I don't understand how something can be so expensive, but yet operates worse than a cheap $100 projector. I actually really loved this projector I love the picture I love the Dolby vision bright colors. However it's riddled with possible performance issues later on down the road. I would recommend you look elsewhere first before purchasing this. I want to also say that I treat my property well so I'm not abusive towards it I turn it off at night and I keep it off until I actually need to use it. I make sure that the room its in is cool. But it just wasn't enough for it! Even going through the settings is a nightmare because it's constantly freezing. No matter how good a picture is if the performance is going to be an issue then it's pretty much pointless. Please put a stronger chip or something inside the thing for it to run more smoothly it's costing us way too much money for you guys to cheap out on the processor. And whatever else you guys cheaped out on.. this is why I try to stick with known brands like LG for example. Why doesn't this projector have 5 stars? 4.3 is way too low for an amazing projector. I mean it's doing more than I even expected!! Get it while it's on sale!! $899 vs $1,300 ?? There's no debate get it while you can at such an outrageously low price! There's so much I can talk about, but the picture is much brighter than I thought. I have it set up in my room mounted on my ceiling and when I tell you it's as bright as my TV maybe even brighter! It can definitely replace a TV. I have an 100'' screen plastered on my wall! That screen was only $25. I always hear you have to have at least $1,000 screen, but to be honest it is amazing I can't imagine spending $1,000 on a piece of fabric... Grab this projector and grab inexpensive screen not too cheap but definitely not $1,000 because it's projector is enough especially if it's used indoors in a dark room. I have blackout curtains so there you have it. If the projectors begins to suck I will update this review lol

Review for the new 4K SE model. This is my first and I have a feeling not last projector. After being an LG OLED addict for the past decade it was finally time to try a projector. I paired this with a 100in projector screen (Lopbast and Elite Screens) in our bedroom where we had no room to hang a larger TV. With the auto focus and keystone correction I was able to easily get a full 100in image even with the projector very off center in the corner of my room and the image looks perfect. Was planning to mount the projector on the wall or ceiling but no need to do so. The image quality is absolutely perfect in a dark room and has this vibrant quality to it that I don't see on my LG OLED. I was honestly blown away, I knew that projectors have drastically increased in performance (and lower cost) the past few years but this blew away my expectations. With the blackout blinds closed during the day it is great as well. With indirect sun light and no blinds it is perfectly fine. With direct sunlight of course that is where it can't hold up to an OLED but still viewable. The software is great with Google TV, app selection is fantastic, casting works great. All of the settings are integrated nicely with a one touch keystone/focus adjustment on the remote. Remote is super nice, light and backlit. And finally the audio, it is better than I expected. I have a 5.4.2 setup in main theater room so I'm pretty picky. No I won't be watching Atmos action movies without a sound upgrade. But thus far after watching a few TV shows and some classic movies it is perfectly fine and really appreciated that they included such a nice set of speakers with nice bass. I also plan to use this projector outside and in other portable locations and the speakers will be great in those scenarios. I most likely will add a Bluetooth sound bar at some point. Overall highly impressed and I'm very happy that I've tried my first (of many) projectors!

This is a great projector. Very bright. I've been impressed with how bright it is and the clarity of the picture. I love the auto focus and found that you can go much closer to the wall than the instructions say. I like the google TV and system set up as well. I also bought the case for it and it fits it perfectly along wtih the cord and remote. Highly recommended and easy to transport. It's a very solid and well built machine and I would recommend it. Surprised how good the sound is too. Again if you are serious with movies etc, it's not going to give you surround sound with built in speakers, but they work really well for a portable projector. My reason for 4 stars is the following. 1. It's little heavier than I hoped. You can still carry it around but it is a little heavier and larger if you really want something portable. I will say that usually weight means quality, so I think the quality is clearly there and perhaps the speakers adds weight too. But for not having a battery, it's a little heavier than I expected. 2. I wish it had something on the bottom to help adjust the angle. So you have to put a book, or some object to get the project placed if it doesn't match the exact level of the projector. My MARS had at least something to make it easier to adjust the projection angle, but surprisingly, nothing on this one. I would have expected that in a portable projector. 3. While I like the google TV and menu, trying to find the settings to do updates was a little more difficult to find. My phone app says to update the projector, but then it's tough to find the menu to verify the updates. Along with that, you do have to find the apps you need if you are going to project power points, and PDF's. There doesn't seem to be much built in apps for that. It's not a deal breaker, but I expected a little more. Still this is a great unit and I recommend it. Quality is there and the brightness is great. I think you'll be happy and consider that 4 stars is still quite good for this projector! I wish there was 4 and 1/2

So I’ve wanted a projector for awhile now and before I ever buy anything of value I try to do as much research as possible so I know I’m getting the best product for my money. I came across nebula projectors and instantly wanted one and was about to purchase the Mars 3 to use mainly outdoors for movies by the pool. I’m glad I waited and did a bit more research bc in the time that I took looking into other projectors, nebula came out and announced this one. I decided to IMPATIENTLY wait until the release date of this model and bought it early in the morning on the day of its release. The specs are amazing and I thought better in almost every way when compared to the cosmos 4k laser projector, except for the ANSI lumens on this one is a little less bright, however it is way more than adequate. I love the simplicity and the Google play operating system that has all of the apps that you could ever want or need. It’s simple and fast to use and make having this projector that much better. The sound quality is better than I expected and you can watch things and not feel like you need to hook up surround sound or a sound bar to enjoy a movie. However when you do it’s as simple as connecting it via Bluetooth and having an even more move theatre like experience. Portability is a breeze with it’s convenient carrying handle and it makes setting it up anyway super fast and simple. I suggest a tripod or a projector stand for good stability and adjustability. When it comes to the picture quality it is superior to my 70” tv, which we ended up taking down and putting up a 120” fixed screen by elite screens. It is truly a 4k image and looks amazing especially at night and if you are watching an animated movie with the kids. Football has also been an absolute blast to watch and makes viewing the games that much more immersive and makes you feel like your right there on the field with the players. I don’t have any issues watching this during the day either, yes I do shit the blinds and still have ambient light coming through but it doesn’t take away from the image quality and color all that much. In fact it might make it better since you don’t get a glare on the screen like you do with TVs. Watching poolside has also been a blast, lucky for my my house color is a light grey on a stucco wall. Even though I bought a 120” yard master outdoor screen by elite screens, I have no issue throwing the image just up on the side of my house and having it be super clear. It’s been very fun changing how we watch movies and the reason I say it’s literally been life changing is bc we spend more time having movie nights and making smores etc. the kids really look forward to it, rather than being on their phones and tablets in separate rooms they all wanna be together picking out and watching their favorite movies on the new big screen. You really do feel like you get the movie theater experience in the comfort of your own home. I highly recommend this projector to anyone looking for a very good projector that gives you far more in value for its price than many other projectors out there. You can easily compare it to ones that cost twice as much. The hybrid use of both laser and LED is genius to me bc you get the best of both worlds and like previously stated the image quality and color are practically flawless. The pictures and video that I posted don’t even do it justice as the image and color look even better in person. The images/video of football was also just projected on my wall before I had a dedicated screen up and that just goes to show how good the quality is. Auto keystone and focus is super easy to use and makes setting up a breeze in just a matter of a few seconds. If you’re in the fence about purchasing this projector just go ahead and do it and thank yourself later. I am buying another one so that I can permanently mount it in the Family room and then have one for outdoors by the pool. I promise you will not regret buying this. I hope this helps even in the smallest way with helping you make that decision.

I have had this projector for around a year now so I figured it was time for me to add a review. For this price point I think this projector is still a great value. My use cases have been impromptu movie nights and game nights indoors on a wall with no screen or movie nights on a folding screen outside. For indoor use I have been able to get a screen size on my wall of about 150" that has a great picture any time in the early evening or later in a living room with windows on all sides. If there is direct light on the wall it is a bit lacking but as long as you can close the blinds/curtains in the room on the side where the sun is currently located it is great even with some ambient light. For outdoor use I have used 120" screen and as long as I am on the opposite side of the house from where the sun is setting I can start movie nights right at sunset. It will be a bit dim at first but still quiet viewable and quickly becomes excellent as darkness falls. I attached a picture that was taken about 10 minutes after sunset for reference. My only nit pick would be that there can be a bit of lag on menus but not enough to deter me from recommending this projector.

Best upgrade I’ve done in a while. Going from a Acer 1080P DLP to this was a bigger change then I expected. The hybrid laser is super bright and works in daylight & adjusts to nice arm dim colors based on ambient darkness The auto focus and keystone to project onto any surface and avoid obstacles is amazing The sounds is pretty good, even though I have an Apple TV with a Bose 5.1 setup, sometimes when lazy I play shows directly off the google home setup with its internal speaker and it’s fine! Honestly, from east of set up, quality, connectivity, it is 5 stars all the way specially at this price point

4k görüntü kalitesi harika. Evde perde de var ama açık yeşil renkli duvarda da görüntü renk açısından farketmedi. Gündüz perdeleri kapattığımızda bile görüntü netliği nerdeyse gece ile aynı. Ses sistemi çok iyi ak bir ses sistemine ihtiyaç yok %50’den daha yukarı ses açmaya gerek yok. Cihaz çok hızlı. Evde 100 mbs internet ile 4k filmler takılmadan izleniyor.

Fantastic projector, amazing build quality and visuals. Was looking for ages and it was 40% off on special so I just went for it and im so glad I did. Amazing value and quality. We are projecting a much larger image that it's supposed to and it handles it like a champ. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relatively cheap 4k laser projector.

Incredible picture. The Dolby Vision is exceptional. When I asked Anker Canada about a firmware update for 3D functionality, they responded the same day. As a consolation of having to wait a few days while the technician who pushes the firmware updates was on vacation, I was refunded 5% of the cost of the projector. Then, I didn’t even end up waiting more than 24 hours. Update was applied, and I now have 3D. This is the most AMAZING customer service I have ever experienced with technology. Looks great in my home theatre, suspended from the ceiling. Connected seamlessly to my Harmony Hub via IR. I am so pleased. If you are in the fence about this product, get it.
