I’ve bought replacement iPod batteries in the past, and honestly my expectations were pretty low going into this. I’ve had more than a few arrive dead on arrival, and others that were very clearly refurbished pulls being sold as “new,” that only end up lasting a month or so before dying completely (burn in hell iDemigods). Because of that (and the fact that I'm resorting to buying from an Amazon brand with an unpronounceable name) I was fully prepared for disappointment. I’m genuinely glad to say this one works great. It charged up properly, holds a solid charge for days of moderate use, and so far it performs exactly how you’d want a replacement battery to perform. One thing I really appreciated was the flex cable. It’s rigid enough to hold its shape but still posable, which makes lining it up and plugging it in way easier than some ribbon cables I’ve dealt with before. That alone made the install noticeably less frustrating. I also appreciate that tools were included. That said—my gosh—those tools are absolutely useless when it comes to opening a 7th Gen iPod. This isn’t a knock against the seller at all; it’s just the nature of the device. Those things are borderline impossible to open cleanly without using the entire toolbox and every knife in the kitchen. If you’ve opened one before, you already know what kind of fight you’re in for. That said the tools are a nice gesture. All that aside, once installed, the battery itself is excellent. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and it does it well. No weird behavior, no rapid drain, no issues so far. Overall, this is a 10/10 replacement in my book, and based on this experience, I’d absolutely buy it again without hesitation.

There are plenty of videos that show you how to swap the battery and especially how to remove the back plate, WATCH THEM! As others have reported, the tools aren't great, but they did the job, however, one end of the spudger tool snapped when I was loosening the battery glue. I was still able to get it off with the other, and probably better for the task, end. I'm not docking any stars because I accomplished changing the battery and it works! It fit perfectly and was great for the price. Overall, the whole process was mildly tedious, but if you take your time, it's rather easy.

Battery was defective. I got a second battery and it worked for the iPod. The battery sold here, didn't work, don't hold a charge.

so happy to be able to use my old iPod from almost 20 years ago. the original battery had degraded to the point where I can't even listen to one song but this new one is great. I used all the old charging cables to charge no problem. the swap out was pretty easy after watching the video, and the battery was an exact fit, the cable the same length and dimensions as the old one. I was able to reseal the case based on the plastic clips, but I'm sure the old glue is compromised. it would have been nice if they included some sort of adhesive to replace the old one as well in the kit. although the given tools were great for opening the case, especially the metal triangle tool for getting in the small cracks. I'll just have to be careful with it around water like we're always supposed to anyway

The battery was a perfect fit for my 5th generation classic 60. Installation was incredibly easy… with my own tools. The tools that are shipped with the battery are not good or useful. After looking at them, I decided to use my metal spudgers instead. That battery came partially charged, and has worked perfectly. I have no complaints, outside of the tools.

Amazing it came fully charged too

Tools were pretty flimsy but worked well enough. It’s not hard to make a better battery than the iPod, but that’s like commending a fish because it swims. Battery is better, but still isn’t great. I plan on buying a better battery when I have some free money.

Battery came with all the tools needed for the job, I was able to do the swap quick and easy, this battery was perfect for my 5.5 and so far its lasting more than the stock one. This is only the first week so I will update as time passes.

Todo excelente en funcionamiento al 100, confiable y muy bien empacado, único detalle mi iPod video 30gb 5ta gen, no cerraba en su totalidad pero no afecta, creo que fue tema de acomodar bien la pila antes de cerrarlo. Recomendable para darle nueva vida al iPod

Excelente producto, fácil instalación, funciona perfecto sino has actualizado el disco duro del iPod, si ya tienes iflash o un lector de memorias puedes optar por una actualización de batería de tamaño completo ya que esa si entra

Funciona y revivió un ipod

La bateria es buena, pero las herramientas son de muy mala calidad. Las herramientas de nylon se deshacian al usarla y me costó mucho abrir mi iPod para cambiar la bateria.
