Excellent Sturdy Cooling Case for Insulin Supplies - Display Only in Fahrenheit
This CWAWF Insulin Cooler Travel Case comes simply presented in a clear plastic wrap. The actual case itself appear of excellent quality, matt black textured, and quite firm to protect insulin supplies. A sturdy zip mechanism is used to secure the case.A clear non illuminated display is visible on front of case for interior temperature, with an interior sensing probe which can be located to provide optimum reading. It was a puzzle how this LED display is charged, even though of the non-illuminated type of display, there appeared no obvious way of changing the battery or via a charging point such as USB.The temperature reading is in Fahrenheit with apparently no facility to change this to Centigrade; which is a little odd seeing as how many countries, including most of Europe predominantly use metric. In practice users should quickly adapt, and focus will be on higher temperature threshold. A quick way to convert Fahrenheit to a Centigrade approximation is to deduct 30, then half remainder. Thus 80 degrees Fahrenheit is approximately 25 degrees Centigrade (26.6 C actual).Storage is sensibly provisioned, with plenty of well secured room for diabetics’ medication. The cooling is provided by two ice packs which will need prior freezing for around three hours in conjunction with a well-insulated case. The cooling provided appeared effective, long lasting, with optimal temperature maintained for many hours (over five, and within specification). This of course will be subjected to ambient temperatures, and hotter climes will likely result in lesser optimal times. This product was trialled by a friend who has diabetes. Feedback provided that this product was excellent, love the sturdy case and clear temperature display. This Insulin Cooling case effectively solved the problem of constantly seeking fridges for diabetes equipment whilst travelling, and able to indulge in more sightseeing, given the ability to carry insulin at required temperature.Overall rate this Insulin Cooler Travel Case by CWAWF as 4.5 stars (slight reduction due to lack of metric display facility) rounded to 5.

6hrs Cool Only - get something better for long haul
This I think the description is a bit dangerous, as this item will not keep medication cool for 24 hours - its a maximum of 6 hrs before your medicine will exceed 18oCDangerous to put inaccurate specifications on a product to be used for medical items (yes packs were in the freezer for a week and I froze the liner for good measure)

Perfect for long flights and short sta
My husband is an insulin dependent diabetic and needs to refrigerate his insulin. This kits is solid, so can take a big of a battering during travel. Insulin pens are held securely with elastic so they stay in place. For a long haul flight of ten plus hours, this really solved a problem for us. You can take it on a plane and it has a wrist strap which keeps hands free. The draw back is that it is in Fahrenheit not Celsius, which means you have to keep converting it to figure it out. The ice packs are reusable but you wouldn't get more than about ten hours out of them on a warm day. A cold day would be better, for obvious reasons. A handy tip- you might want to keep a copy of your prescription zipped in there in case there are any questions raised at customs.Overall, a good product.

Really well thought-out product
Nice, solid hard-shell case will protect vials/FlexPens etc. from a reasonable amount of rough treatment. Quite spacious, so enough room for a fortnight's supplies, at least. Good zip and secure, removable strap. The inner surface is lined with reflective silver thermal insulation which, together with the two tailor-made, soft, removable freezer blocks (TSA approved, apparently) keep supplies cold for a decent period depending on ambient temperature. Obviously not as good as a Thermos-type cylindrical design, but also nowhere near as expensive. The blurb says "Temperatures can be maintained at 35.6-46.4F for 5-8 hours when the ambient temperature is below 86°F. Our cooler case can hold insulin at low temperatures (below 74F) for over 24 hours." Since only the US still uses these weird medieval units so I'll convert it to modern scientific ones for you: that's 2°C - 8°C for 5-8 hours when ambient temperature is below 30°C. And it can stay below 23°C for over 24 hours. So not quite longer-long-haul-proof.There's a removable inner pouch, which is basically a folded piece of thick fabric, held shut with a stretchy strap and attached to the inner hinge of the case with velcro. It has two pockets and two straps inside for keeping things secure. The thermometer is my favourite part of this product. It doesn't just give you a reading based on the general temperature of the bag. It has a long wire attached, inside the bag, with a probe at the end which you can strategically place next to your insulin (or even fix in place with a bit of tape) so you'll always know exactly what the temperature is in the important area. Great design. All in all - excellent.

Looks good
When I opened the box I was pleased with the appearance of the item.I froze the packs and before I went to bed I put them in the case to try it out ,I left it in the kitchen over night the next morning the screen show 14 degrees it doesn't last 12 hours no where near so if you need it to last it needs help I've put it in an additional cool bag with ice packs that works.
