Such a nice little piece of equipment . Works great can really see details very well . No need to hook up to the computer screen is plenty big enough for any coin . Very well made for the price , quality is actually double the price I paid . As a machinist fit and function is very good for the price .

The reason this isn't a 5 star review is it takes hours and hours and hours and hours and hours to charge. And hours. Though it comes partially charged, it's been plugged in for at least 8 hours now ... and is still not done. I now have two of these- and the charge time issue applies to both. I had purchased another brand in the same price range, but bought a second one of THIS microscope despite the ridiculous charge time because the color quality and depth detail were superior. Also, I like how easy it is to adjust, very easy to get a beautiful view of detail. Handy size, comes with an SD card (other brand did not). So - overall - it's a very nice entry coin microscope. Having more than one makes it easy to compare coins of the same year/mint mark to more easily identify errors. Just know it's going to live on the charger, and don't forget to plug it in.

Simple to put together and easy to use. I know some users were having a problem getting the microscope to work with their computer. I hope this helps someone. To use with a computer be sure to insert the 32GB TF card into the microscope and go to settings and format it. To use with a Mac laptop without a USB port, you need to use the USB C male to USB 3.0 female adapter. Put this into the port of the Macbook laptop and connect the included USB cord to the microscope and laptop. When this makes a proper connection a popup will display on the microscope. Select PC Camera by tapping the left arrow once to move from Memory to PC Camera on microscope and select OK. Next select your app to display the microscope screen. I tried Photo Booth but it showed a mirrored image that I couldn't correct. I downloaded the free app from the app store called "Quick Camera". After installing and opening Quick Camera be sure to select “Camera”, then “Select Source”, and then select HP Video in the app. Now you should see what is on the microscope screen on your laptop. On a Windows laptop/computer it depends on what version of windows you have. To see what version you have type winver in the search bar on your computer. I have version 11 so I downloaded and installed the "Smart Camera" from the website given in the manual, pg 6 . Other apps are given on pg 6 for different versions. Plug the included USB cord to the microscope and computer. Select HP Camera on the microscope when properly connected. (Select PC Camera by tapping the left arrow once to move from Memory to PC Camera on microscope and select OK). Open Smart Camera and select “Settings” and change the Device to HD Video. Now you should see what is on the microscope screen on your laptop. The pictures are from my iphone and it focused on the microscope in the 1st picture and focused on the laptop in the 2nd picture. The 3rd picture shows them both focused but makes the microscope look really big.

Screen is very clear. Coins are now in focus. Not sure why they want me to sign onto an app site as the unit works just fine after charging. Well worth it.
