Required a light for the porch as it's difficult at night to see inside especially unlocking the inside door. We decided to purchase this and it's perfect. Requires four large batterys and it's very easy to install with the provided screws and wall plugs.It's quite heavy when the batterys are in, so make sure it's mounted tight when fitted on the wall or ceiling. The sensor is good and picks you up very easily. The brightness is excellent too and the light gives off a white light, which I much prefer than a warm yellow. It's not too bright and not too dim. I would say just perfect.I was more concerned about how long the batterys would last. I havent had the product for more than a week, so I cannot comment. However, I can say this. If you are using this just for night use it's going to last a very long time. The light doesn't function in the daytime and only comes on at night and it's very accurate too. It certainly knows.The light turns off after 30 seconds to a minute. Of course there is also the option of keeping it on permanently (Day time use etc.) but I am sure it would eat up the batterys quicker after a while.All in all its a very modern, stylish product that provides a great alternative if you can't have a wired light installed. Very ideal for sheds, porches and alike. Very happy with the purchase.UPDATE 14/05/2022Purchased nearly two years ago and the batteries are still going when only on sensor mode. No signs of them wearing out yet.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this not expecting much but this light is brilliant. It has a very sensitive motion sensor so turns on even when I just open the door and even detects when it’s daytime so doesn’t need to come on. Very easy installation and bright.Has a warm mode and cool white mode which is nice for a change but all in all, a perfect addition to my shed 👌🏼 would highly recommend - I would leave 6 stars if I could 👏🏼

Good light but you need rechargeable batteries

Bought this for my front porch and the light it gives off is unbelievable for it's size. Although it takes 4 D batteries, it gives it a bit of weight.The LED light can be mounted very easily onto it's back plate when fixed to the wall. The motion sensor is very responsive and has a good lit time when you break the sensor before it goes Off. I would highly recommend this to anyone indoors or out once it's under cover from rain who needs that bit of light that's automatically comes on and off when needed. Great quality and great light. Would buy again.

Perfect for my closet

I used this in the cupboard under the stairs. Always dark and dingy and not easy to fit a mains light. This was easy to fit, uses very big batteries so I'm hoping they won't need changing any time soon. The motion detector switches the light on each time the door is opened and switches it off again after about 30 seconds. There is another sensor setting but I don't use it. Can't leave the door slightly ajar as it would pick up motion in the hall and switch the light on unnecessarily. Make sure you know the base plate is made up of two interlocking rings (not easy to see) but this makes fitting it to the ceiling a doddle. Don't think you can skimp on screwing the light to the ceiling because the large batteries make it heavy. It's made all the difference ... should have done it sooner!

I needed a light for our understairs cupboard that could operate without mains electricity. This fits the bill perfectly it's bright and turns on / off automatically, as I kept leaving my last battery powered light on and the battery's went flat regularly. Initially the sensor was a bit too sensitive and turned on every time I walked past the cupboard, the instructions mentioned it might need a while to stabilise. After a day or so the unit settled and now it now turns on perfectly when the door opens. Easy to fit, just a couple of screws and off you go. Don't forget to buy the large batteries when ordering.

I wanted to do a review of this lamp after almost two years of use.Pros:Battery life is good. I've used one set of batteries per year, which shows how little the lamp is used I guess.Light output was good.Simple to fit.Cons:Doesn't work 30% of the time. Seems to need the sensitivity switch moving to kick it into life some evenings.After two years, 18 of the LEDs have stopped working.
