The BEST Peruvian Balsam!
I grew up in rural Pennsylvania with Balsam of Peru in my Grandparents medicine cabinet. Someone in my family had a leg amputation in the 1940s, and this was given as after care. We used it for cuts and scrapes, oozing wounds, boils after they are drained, and eczema or psoriasis directly on plaques. This brand is actually the raw resin. It is dark brown, almost black. Thick, viscous and aromatic.... it reminds me of my childhood adventures with my family. To apply, I use the tip of a reed. I shake the resin bottle and then remove the cap. I gather resin on the reed and then apply to the area needed. You do not need much. A cotton swab can be used, but only put the tip into the cap. Never reuse a swab once it has touched skin. There should be plenty on the cotton to saturate any wound. Cover the area with a bandage or an adhesive plaster.Buy it. The hype is true!

Works very well
It is a fantastic drawing ointment. Make sure you get this and not the watered down junk others are pawning .... My mother always used this on us when we were kids.

IS NOT FROM PERU LIKE EVERYBODY BELIEVES.
The name balsam of Peru is a misnomer. In the early period of Spanish invasion in Central America, the balsam was collected in El Salvador and shipped to Callao (the port of Lima) in Peru, then shipped onward to Europe. It acquired the name of "Peru" because it was shipped via there. But the harvest and exportation is located originally in El Salvador.

This really works. It’s like an old-fashioned salve that would’ve been handed down by your grandmother
