UPDATE: As I mentioned in my initial post the bag was a tight fit. After thinking about that I decided to glue Velcro stipes to the case opening. This worked great, I can now close the bag. Just a hint if someone else wants to use the bag for wheelchair batteries like mine. ********************************************************************** I needed a safe lithium battery bag for my wheelchair batteries when flying because airlines require lithium wheelchair batteries that can be removed, to be removed, and carried in the cabin while the wheelchair itself is carried in the hold with the checked luggage. My batteries are large, 21.5 long x 3.5 wide x 1.5 thick inches, and this was the only bag I found that met airline requirements for safe transport and would accommodate my batteries size. The bag is a very tight fit for the batteries but it will do the job I need it for, just cannot close it in the manner it was designed for. The bag is very well made to handle rough handling, the outer shell is thick and when properly closed I would expect it to be somewhat waterproof. Description indicates it is fireproof but I have no way of verifying that; but, another reason it meets airline requirements. There are two straps for attaching it to the rack on a bike or similar vehicle. I feel I will get years of service with this bag. I had good service from the vendor when asking questions, shipping was fast, and it was delivered 7 days earlier than originally estimated. I would recommend this bad for its intended purpose or for a not-so-intended purpose such as I have.

The BiKase eBike Battery Bag is well made and appears to use quality materials. It offers good protection for the battery and seems like it would hold up well over time. I ended up returning it because it didn’t work for me.I think it could use a few design improvements. A Velcro strap near the top would help secure the battery better, and a Velcro closure would make it easier to open and close while still keeping everything in place. I if it had carrying straps or a handle so it could be carried more comfortably when the battery is out of the bike. Overall, it’s a solid, well-built bag, but with those few additions it would have been exactly what I was looking for.

Stored ebike battery & charger in our roofbox for several day travel. Nice quality, foldover top & buckle. Felt safer knowing these bags are allegedly fireproof. Saw cheaper version online from chinese company, but decided to support this US company—expecting higher standards for “fire proof or fire resistant” in US.

The bag uses a buckle to close. The bag has 2 Velcro straps that can be used to attach the bag to a bicycle rack. The straps offer versatility, the straps can attach to each other to make a shoulder strap or could be individually looped to make backpack straps. The bag is made of durable material. I did not like this bag at first, but I have taken it out a few times and it has grown on me. It is a good battery bag.

Realistically, this is a 3.5 star item. It's good and rugged, but it's missing an important feature that would truly make it waterproof: a zipper or a cinch tie and or strap to draw the opening tightly closed. A solid drawstring would even work. The clasps there on the bag only kind of pull it together and help secure the bag to the seat post or to the rack frame.

I can confirm that this easily swallows my Aventon Pace 500.3 battery! It's snug, but not too snug. With the velcro straps securely fastened and the flap folded shut 3x, the battery doesn't have much room to move around in there. I use this strapped to my rear cargo rack. The velcro straps are an almost perfect fit for the Aventon rear cargo rack. Not perfect, but close enough to be secure. I was initially a little concerned about how well the folding flap would hold up to bumpy rides. I got an unintentional worst-case scenario when my rack slipped out of position and wound up tilting down to the ground (flap side down!) at about 30 degrees. It rode like this for several miles over extremely bumpy terrain. The flap remained locked shut and much to my relief, the battery stayed in place. I'm skeptical of the "fire resistant" claims given the extreme heat and venting of lithium battery fires. However, that's not why I purchased this bag, so I'm not docking any points. Thanks to this bag, my range has now effectively doubled. Here's to many long trails!

This bag fits one or TWO QuietKat Pathfinder 17.25Ah batteries (17" x 3-1/2" x 3-1/4" each). Batteries in bag fits snugly inside QuietKat Cargo Basket (19" x 12" x 6") with some room to spare for other items. Battery bag fabric is so thick it might as well be considered a padded bag. The buckled roll-top end ensures your batteries stay dry. This bag will go with me on every long Ebike trip I take. Highly recommend.

I love this bag! It's near impossible to find a bag that will fit anything over 16 inches but this one does with room to spare. It's perfect for hauling a 2nd battery on a rear electric bike rack. The two straps hold the battery in place securely as is but, if I were to improve anything, it would be to add a third strap. That said, I'm using a couple bungee cords for added protection anyway, so not a big deal. The straps are nice and long so if you loop them properly around the rack, it'll fit so tight there will be no shifting whatsoever. Best of all, this bag is priced right. Other bags may hold more, but I really don't need to spend another $200 when all I want it for is the battery.

Good quality and rain proof. It’ll keep your battery dry and clean. I took off one star due to the astronomical price.

Peace of mind in a bag. Seems I got a good deal as these cost more now.
