Great Watch and Upgrade - you will not miss your Fossil Gen 6, or any other
This is a fantastic watch. I've been a long-time Fossil smartwatch user. My Fossil Gen 6 watch started acting up, and I recently learned that Fossil has exited smartwatches. Once I switched to the Pixel 3, I was thrilled and do not miss my Gen 6 at all. I should have switched sooner. My 2nd Fossil replacement alternative was the OnePlus 2. The Pixel looked better (to me) and has Wear OS 5 which is the most recent version. It was hard to decide between the two using online descriptions and reviews, but I am happy with my choice. The Pixel battery life is better than the Fossil, even with the always on display, and easily gets me though the day. The charge may not last as long as the OnePlus 2, but I do not wear it overnight and instead put the watch on the charger, so the extra battery life is not an issue for me. Others may see this differently. The Pixel 3 screen is MUCH brighter and sharper than the Fossil, the processor is faster, and the watch operation is intuitive and easy to learn. Activating the watch, setting it up, and switching from the Fossil was quick and easy since most of the apps and info are tied to my Google account. Long-time irritants with the Fossil were how the end of the watch band kept flopping loose from its holder band, and how the crown button constantly activated when I sharply bent my wrist. The Pixel fixes both of these issues. The Pixel watch band is a bit tricky to attach at first (YouTube helps), but it works MUCH better than the Fossil and is more comfortable. The Pixel has a nice feature where you can rotate the watch display 180 degrees (make it upside down) so you can wear the crown button on the left side of the watch. No more accidental app activations, restarts, or 911 calls! My primary watch use is for business to monitor emails and texts, and to see/screen/take phone calls. All these work beautifully, and are handled much better than with the Fossil. Even the weather app is upgraded in the new OS, and there is a timer that can be added to the tiles. I use my watch secondarily for the health features, and I was sad (at first) to learn Google Fit would not be on the Pixel. I used Fit on the Fossil to track steps and distance walked. The new FitBit basic version is a true upgrade and gives me all the info I had before, plus a lot more. I did not opt for the free Premium FitBit trial. I bought and recommend a set of the plastic watch covers for scratch and impact protection, and a charging stand. Both work great.

Many Options
I’ve been really impressed with the Google Pixel Watch 3. It offers such a wide variety of features that make it both practical and easy to use. The heart rate monitor is accurate and helpful for keeping an eye on daily health, and the sleep tracker gives clear, useful insights without being overwhelming. One of my favorite features is the quick start exercise tracker—it makes it so easy to jump right into a workout without scrolling through menus. Overall, the Pixel Watch 3 combines convenience, great health tracking, and a clean design, making it a fantastic everyday smartwatch.

Pixel Watch 3 is a Pretty Decent Watch
I like this watch however it is not without fault. It's very stylish so I like it for that reason. It's clear and keeps accurate time, but that's only secondary to what it's designed for. Honestly, I'm not sure how to gauge accuracy on some aspects, but in terms of my heart rate, I think it's pretty good. Some other features, not so much. There is a stress and mindfulness feature that allows you to record your stress levels. It tells me that it's detected a potential change in my emotional state when I have no idea why. Then when I'm happy or mad, I get no notification. It's a little large, but I also have a small wrist. I think all these watches are too expensive, but the price is at least competitive. I like all the features like the ability to answer the phone thru it and controlling your music thru it. I have a Pixel phone, so they work hand in hand with each other. If I think of anything else, I'll be certain to add it.

Great watch! I didn't know what I was missing.
I love this watch! I've been using a Pixel phone for a couple of years and always paired it with an off-brand inexpensive "smart watch". After all, I pretty much just used it to track my steps and heart rate. I didn't realize how much I had been missing. I love seeing my messages, alerts, and even my doorbell camera video on this watch. The clarity and quality are very good. I even carried on a phone conversation using it the other day when I didn't have my phone near me. The caller said that she wouldn't have known that I wasn't using my phone. I couldn't be happier (unless they made one whose battery could last a week...lol).

Plentiful Customization, Functionality, and Thoughtful Design
Bought my husband the 41mm and it fit him perfectly as a 6’1” guy with medium wrists. I was afraid the display would be too small, but it wasn’t. I’ll try not to repeat what others are saying in the reviews, but in our personal experience, the watch is a great replacement to him previously using his Pixel phone and wearing a Fitbit. It syncs easily with the phone for easy setup and you can customize your display, as well as which apps and functions you want it to do. For example, my husband loves that he is able to load his credit cards and swipe his watch instead of fumbling for his phone or physical wallet when trying to pay for fares on his daily commute. The display is bright and legible. There are a lot of cool features to explore, such as using the watch as a soft flashlight at night when you don’t want to get flash banged by the flashlight feature in your phone. Or using the watch as a “remote control” to have your phone camera take photos from a tripod or hands free mode. Or having the watch track your heart rate and monitor your sleep. No more missing texts or calls because you didn’t hear your phone - you can set your watch to vibrate on your arm. The mic quality is surprisingly good, although it doesn’t mute background noises, so it isn’t recommended for use in crowded or noisy areas. The audio-to-text speech recognition of the watch is also more accurate than expected. The design is excellent - you can rotate the display so that you can wear the watch comfortably as a left-handed person with the knob facing outwards, which the Fitbit could not. I think if you catch it on sale and you own a Pixel phone, this watch is worth buying. Not sure about its durability yet, but so far we are very pleased with its features and customization.

Significant upgrade from the original
I switched to this from the Pixel Watch One and is quite an upgrade. Much larger watch face with a brighter screen and longer battery life. Gives me some other health tracking which is interesting but carries all the other tracking that I need. I got it for a steal and am very happy with the purchase.

If you are considering it, get the larger one.
After going through a few inexpensive, generic watches, I finally decided to pay more for the name-brand watch to match my phone, albeit not the newest model. I was really torn between the two size options and ended up going with the smaller one. I regretted it almost immediately. I’m not the biggest guy (5’ 11”, 162 lbs). I thought the 45 mm might look oversized on my wrist, but the 41 actually looks petite despite being a similar size to other watches I’ve owned. It’s something to do with the rounded edges and the way the band flares out where it meets the watch. If you’re on the fence at all, I recommend paying a little extra for the bigger watch. However, I did add a case (Spigen Liquid Air), and the bulk of it makes the watch less feminine. Using the watch, the main perk, as compared to generic watches, is the compatibility with popular apps like Strava. I can start an activity on my wrist, and it records my heartrate without an extra sensor. Another example, I was able to install the multi-factor authentication program my workplace requires. Now I can log in to my laptop without getting out my phone. Text messages and other alerts are also more reliable. I thought I might like being able to control Google smart home devices from my watch, but that hasn’t turned out to be more convenient than just using the smart speakers around my house or my phone. Another small thing, I really like that my phone's alarm and night settings sync seamlessly with the watch, so I don’t have to think about turning on “do not disturb.” There are some downsides. Battery life isn’t as good as some of the cheaper watches, but probably because this one does more. I turned off the “always on” watch face, and I do fine charging it once a day while I eat breakfast. My wife chose a Fitbit instead of a Pixel watch because she didn’t want to have to charge it every day. I wish the band didn’t use a proprietary attachment method, but there are plenty of compatible bands available. The rounded glass edge feels very vulnerable, but as I mentioned, I added a case and screen protector. Now, I’m not worried about it. The Pixel 4 is supposed to be more repairable. That’s the main reason to consider the newer model if you can afford it, but I’m happy with the 3.
