Keeps moisture out!
Live in a very humid area and my salt was always wet no matter how much rice I mixed up with it. These shakers are the only ones that have worked,glass,and look nice on the table.be careful not to tighten the plastic cap though, it will Crack. I made this mistake and had to replace them,totally my fault.

Modern Shakers with lids salt and pepper or something more creative
These are great little shakers with spring action lids to keep whatever’s inside fresh and from spilling all over if they get knocked over. They’re well-made. The glass is thick, not flimsy the spring action lids work well and they’re very modern and cute on your countertop. one lid white one lid black.

Spice grenades best defense against humidity
Havent had it long enough to prove its ability to keep salt from sticking together in Texas Humidity but so far so good. And they arrived very promptly. My wife thinks they look like miniature hand grenades. That’s not a bad thing but she’s right they do. Grin. We ordered a 2nd set after we noted a crack in the pepper dispenser. Didn’t want to chance glass shards in the pepper so we trashed it and ordered Another set. 2nd set is fine no cracks. However something to look for upon receipt

I was going to return because I thought for some reason that the lid wouldn’t come off but it does. So I canceled my return and am keeping them. So weird. I very unfairly criticized them and want to take it all back. I’m sorry.
