They're cheap. I bought a 2 pack a few months ago, both were fine. A few weeks after using 1, it suddenly loosened and would not hold the measurement, so I chucked it and grabbed the other one. It finally gave out 2 days ago. I figured 2 lasted a few months, a 20 pack should last a looong time, and if not, oh well. They were cheap.I do verify a new one against a digital micro,eter to make sure they're accurate, but a fraction of a mm is not a serious issue to me simply because if the tread is low enough that I would question the precision, the tire probably just needs to be replaced lolI wouldn't use these for any other application
