I recently tried the KitchenAid Classic Multifunction Can Opener, and it has made my kitchen tasks so much easier. The stainless steel cutting wheel is razor-sharp and makes opening cans effortless. I love the soft ergonomic handles and they feel comfortable in my hand, even when I’m opening larger cans. The design is sturdy but lightweight, so it doesn’t feel awkward to use. It also doubles as a bottle opener, which is a nice bonus. I’ve noticed it cuts cleanly every time, leaving smooth edges on cans. The soft black finish looks sleek on my countertop too. It’s simple to operate, even for someone who isn’t very handy. Cleanup is quick since it doesn’t have tiny crevices for food to get stuck in. I would recommend highly. Thank you!

We have an ancient manual opener (you know the one - thin, flimsy, feels like it came from the 1970s) and an electric. Both fail me so often and I'm constantly frustrated trying to open odd sized cans. Not anymore! This has been a champ on both larger and smaller cans that I've tried. It has a comfortable grip and the knob is easy to turn and grip. The bottle opener is a nice extra though I likely won't need that often, if ever. Overall, it's filling the void I need it to.

I have been a loyal customer of Kitchen Aid products for years. After a series of electrical outages in my area, I realized that having an electric can opener does me no good if I can't use it when I need it. I have had manual can openers in the past, but they were not comfortable to use. This can opener will be a staple in my kitchen going forward. It opens cans with ease, and the handle works great for my hands. While not a problem for me, I can see how it would be very helpful for people with arthritis, lack of grip strength, etc. It is very well made and sturdy. Bonus points that it includes a bottle opener as well. Easy to store and use. Would be great to include in a wedding shower or housewarming gift basket!

This is a well-designed can opener, especially for older people. I have arthritic hands, so comfort is important to me. The sharp blade snaps right on to the side of the can and goes through the aluminum of the can very easily. The handles are soft and comfortable to hold, while the turning crank moves smoothly. Because of its large size, the crank is easy to grasp and rotate. I don't know if I will use the bottle opener on top, but at least I know where it is if I want to pop open a beer bottle while opening a can of tuna fish.

Our old can opener was getting to the point that we had to twist it sideways to get it to bite in order to work. It was mostly plastic and may of been a Cutco but its days were numbered. This Kitchenaid opener looked like it would be a nice opener to replace the old one. The bottle opener feature was not a big selling point for me but could be handy at times. When it arrive and I pulled it out of the package I was immediately impressed with how well it appeared to be made. It was heavier than our previous one but still reasonable to handle when cooking for extended periods of time. It bites down well and has good traction without having to finagle it like our old one. I'm very pleased with it.

My wife doesn't understand why I ordered this. She has this electric can opener that seems to work well enough but I personally don't care for it. Its a pain to line up to actually start cutting, it doesnt like to stop running once the lid is off, plus is takes batteries, so when the batteries die the electric can opener becomes a fancy paperweight. I appreciate the simplicity of this with the added durability and comfort. What I like: Large handles with foam padding. Grip this as tight at you want, its ready for whatever. Feels incredibly sturdy. Better than any can opener Ive owned in the past. Attaches easily. Cuts very very well. Has a bottle opener, just in case. What I dont like: Nothing. This is everything I wanted and more.
