Other magnesium compounds have caused diarrhea. This has not caused any GI issues at all. It is a big tablet so can be an issue if you have problems with this. However, it has a hard smooth surface and seems to slide down easily without starting to dissolve in your mouth.

All magnesium pills are large. So are calcium pills. Magnesium is not a condensed substance like Vitamin D. However, I tried the Now capsules and these tablets from Qunol. (See photo comparison) Same size, same dosage, same effectiveness. But the capsules kept melting on the way down causing me to cough up powder and inhale it in my lungs, even minutes after taking the pills when I didn’t have water in hand. The Qunol brand tablets are coated and smooth to swallow. Some other brands are rough. These are a little more, but worth it to me.
