BotaniVetKeraSnout Organic Pet Balm - for Dry and Cracked Noses and Paw Pads - 1.9oz

My dog developed a dry cracked nose this summer. He is an eleven year old chocolate lab who never had this problem before. I browsed many products on Amazon, carefully reading ingredients, product claims, and comments. I chose BotaniVet KeraSnout balm for a few reasons. The first, and most important reason why I chose this product is because it was developed by a veterinary dermatologist. Having worked as a veterinary technician for a period of time, I appreciate that an actual veterinarian specializing in dermatology formulated this product. I also appreciate the simplicity of ingredients, and that the ingredients are certified organic. I am not an organic "hardliner," but in this case of applying a balm to my dog's most sensitive part of his body, his nose, I wanted an organic product. This balm is also NOT SCENTED. There were other products listed on Amazon that were scented balms. I would never put a scented balm on my dogs most sensitive nose. I would expect a scented balm would cause a dog to lick more, and they need to lick less. This product is working GREAT on my dog's nose. I noticed an improvement after the first application, and my boy's nose is back to normal after 7 days (twice a day) of treatment. I didn't fret too much about licking. Dogs are gonna lick. I just distracted my dog for 20 or 30 seconds, usually with a toy, and that was adequate time for enough of this product to absorb and work. I will continue to use BotaniVet KeraSnout balm for maintenance once a day because I don't want my dog's nose to dry out again. While I haven't used this product for dry, cracked pads (my dog's pads don't get that way until winter), I feel it would work great for cracked pads given how well it worked on a dry, cracked nose. This product was also one of the more reasonably priced in this category. I am very glad I chose BotaniVet for my dog's nose, and I highly recommend this product.

I recently found this product while purchasing the Botani-Vet Shampoo, and I am so pleased with it. I've used it on my dogs' paw pads and noses and have found it to be very comforting to them. The balm is scentless, light, and very silky. Application is hassle-free and already I can see the difference in their pads and noses, as the dry areas absorbed the product without any stickiness or mess and the areas are well-moisturized and much softer. Even my hands and fingers felt softer and smoother after applying this product to my collies' pads and noses! I've used other balms in the past which were much more dense and messier, and left residue on the floors and rugs. This one is much better absorbed and there is no mess whatsoever. Absolutely amazing. Great product and I highly recommend it!

I am glad I found this family run business through amazon. All of their products are 100% safe and easy to use. My pup had a start of a cracked nose and I put some of this on her and the next day it looked better! It isn't fragrant, so she wasn't bothered by it.

Been using it regularly on dogs paws. Great on the puppy’s younger paws but can’t work a miracle on the 9 year old boxers roughed up paws. But boy does he like getting them massaged anyway. Can be pretty slick and greasy on the waxed wood floors though if the dogs go running about just after getting all greased up. Wipe out city. Oh, and they like the taste and lick it after applying but non toxic. I tasted it and nothing I would go out of my way for, but they like it.

I haven’t seen the benefit of this because my dogs lick it off before it can do anything.

My frenchie has had chronic problems with a dry nose. I have tried other products which haven't done much. I found BotaniVet Organic Pet Balm and was very impressed by the fact that it was actually certified organic and by its natural soothing ingredients. Thanks to this product, my dog's nose now look great! It didn't take long at all to see improvement. I should also mention my dog is extremely sensitive to topical treatments and he tolerates this well. I am going to try this on my own dry skin next!

This stuff is fabulous! I have a great dane with very narly elbows. Ive tried sooo many things. Most have worked but she hated them. I think because they were very fragrant. This stuff isnt. And she never tries to get away from me or tries to lick it off. And it works well ! Thank you!!!!

Great product. I live in a very hot climate zone, so it’s even more important to keep my dogs’ paws healthy and moisturized. This product works instantly, which I appreciate. My dogs seem to love it as well.
