If you have a faucet drip then you will need to fix that
Worked well! I poured half the bottle in the tub drain and let it sit overnight. Then I filled half the bathtub with hot water and opened the drain to flush everything through with some force from the draining water. ALSO - if you have a faucet drip then you will need to fix that, or put a bowl or bucket in the tub to cover the drain and catch the drips. The drain needs to dry out between showers. The bugs thrive in the moisture.

Green Gobbler Fruit Fly Killer is the best product for the job
Green Gobbler is my new favorite solution to a pesky household problem especially during the summer... those horrid little fruit flies and drain flies. For years, I'd been doing the whole vinegar down the drain thing to limited success. This year when I realized that those teeny, tiny drain demons were getting inside my toothbrush cover I declared war and Green Gobbler answered the call for recruits to rout out the enemy for me. I prep the drains by pouring a full kettle of hot water down the pipes. Then pour Green Gobbler Fruit Fly Killer gel down the drain focusing on coating the edges of the drain pipe. The citronella cinnamon oil formula is not offensive to humans, but it sure offends and offs those pesky pests. If you find yourself dealing with a swarm of fruit flies and drain flies every summer and feel like you're losing the battle, turn to Green Gobbler. It is economical and more than up to ending those truly obnoxious little flying foes. It's easy and economical to keep up during the summer. Get yourself a gallon of Green Gobbler Fruit Fly killer to keep your kitchen and bathroom drains clear this summer

If you have fruit flies at your sink buy this
It takes 5-7 days of consistent use, but get rid of those pests! Low odor, use at night, and packaging is fine. Keep away from Children although my child was way interested in the green gobbler, she was easily convinced hes a bad guy!

Great repellant for drains.
It is important to note, nowhere on this bottle did I see that it actually kills fruit flies or their eggs(or whatever). What this does, is it seems to prevent bugs from wanting to go into the drain and breed more, which in turn, causes them not to procreate and die. Still handy. A lot of produce is arriving home with fruit flies, people are having issues, and so I would recommend this, along with a zevo plug in(they really do work). I gave three stars because I felt like the product was misleading, as it did not kill them in the drain.

This stuff works!!
I had a terrible problem with fruit flies, they were everywhere. I called pest control and they came out and treated the sink. For a few days the number of flies went down but then we were again infested. I ordered this fruit fly killer. I treated the sinks that night. The next morning the number of flies was noticeably less. By the end of the morning I noticed that there weren’t any flies in sight. Per the instructions I retreated the sinks three days later and I have not seen any of these pesky flies in over two weeks. I am throughly pleased with this product and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Biggest waste of money
Biggest waste of money I ever spent does not work. I bought two bottles and used it in the course of a month and biggest waste of money this product that's supposed to take care of fruit flies and sewer flies. Instructions state that leaving it in the drain overnight is ideal so that's what I did. They also say that for best results, use it several times so I repeated the process the next night. Both times, I wiped away the excess with paper towel since rinsing them wasn't an option. So, not only has it eaten the finish off of my drain (or whatever the correct term is), this morning there were several sewer flies. I am not a happy girl. So, this is an update. I contacted the Green Gobbler customer service folks copying the review above and since they had no way for me to attach the pictures below, I described what had happened. I received back a boilerplate email describing that some drains are tougher to unclog than others. Really? I write about a product designed to rid your drains of fruit and sewer flies and they respond with info about unclogging my drains? I responded telling them that I was disappointed that they hadn't even taken the time to read my comment. Pretty poor and what's worse is that they did not respond to then at all to me. I'm just disgusted as I have used their drain cleaner several times and it's done a great job but this has soured me on the company.

IT WORKS
This stuff works great. I never heard of drain flies til a friend told me that's probably what they are. I had no fruit but couldn't figure out why so many fruit flies. It was pretty bad but I bought Green Gobbler and wow it worked great the first time. I use it once a week now to keep them away. I would recommend this product for sure.

Gets the job done
I recently tried the Fruit Fly Gel Drain Treatment to deal with an annoying fruit fly problem, and here’s my take: Pros: 1. Effective Solution: This gel works wonders on fruit flies and drain flies. It clings to the pipes and eliminates the flies by targeting their breeding ground. Within a few days, I noticed a significant reduction in the number of flies. 2. Easy to Use: The application is straightforward. You just pour the gel into the drain, and it does the rest. It's hassle-free and doesn’t require any additional tools. 3. Safe Formula: Made with citronella oil, it’s non-toxic and safe to use around the house, which is a big plus for homes with kids and pets. 4. Pleasant Scent: Unlike other chemical treatments, this gel has a refreshing citrus scent, which helps keep the drains smelling fresh while it works. Cons: 1. Needs Regular Application: For best results, you need to apply it regularly, especially if the infestation is severe. This means it’s not a one-time fix. 2. Price: While effective, it’s a bit on the pricier side compared to some DIY solutions. However, the effectiveness justifies the cost in my opinion. 3. Sticky Residue: If not handled carefully, the gel can leave a sticky residue around the drain area. It’s essential to pour it directly into the drain to avoid this. Overall Experience: The treatment has been a reliable solution for my fruit fly problem. It’s easy to use and effective, with the added benefit of a pleasant scent. While it requires regular application and careful handling to avoid residue, the results are worth it.
