Better than Orbit lawn enforcer!
Don’t usually write reviews, but raccoons have been tearing up my lawn every night. I have four Orbit Lawn Enforcers, but the raccoons were still able to navigate around them. I purchased this one in addition to the four I already have to completely protect my yard. Since getting this, the raccoons haven’t touched my yard — they get sprayed every time they come close. It really works! Depending on how big your yard is, you might need multiple units to fully cover the area. I currently have five and just bought two more. Between this and the Orbit Lawn Enforcer, I prefer this one — the Trurid Deer and Cat Repellent. Here are the pros and cons between the two: 1. Sensitivity and Range: This one is much more sensitive and has better range than the Orbit, even though Orbit advertises up to 40 ft vs. 30 ft for this one. In reality, the Trurid’s range feels like more than 120 degree. There were a few times the Orbit sprinkler didn’t activate even when the raccoon was right in front of it (a limitation of the PIR sensor). It works best when the animal walks across the sensor rather than directly toward it. The Trurid, on the other hand, is more sensitive even when the animal walks straight at it. 2. Night Mode: The Orbit has a night mode, while this one only has an “on” mode. I have to turn it off every morning so it doesn’t spray my kids or the neighbors’ cats. 3. Build Quality: The Orbit’s materials are sturdier; the Trurid is mostly plastic. We’ll see how well it holds up after a few months. 4. Power Source: The Trurid is solar-powered, while the Orbit uses batteries. 5. Sprinkler Head: Both have similar sprinkler heads. 6. The Orbit has much clearer instructions. The assembly instructions for this product don’t quite match the actual parts — something other users have also mentioned. You need to screw on the sprinkler head adapter before attaching the sprinkler head. It took me two minutes to figure that out! Overall: The Trurid Deer Repellent wins for its superior range and sensitivity!

Great value for the price. Quality exceeded my expectations.
This motion sprinkler quickly detects movement (20–30 ft) and sprays a strong burst that scares off cats, raccoons, and skunks. They learn fast—no more digging in my beds. Reliable trigger, dual modes, easy setup, humane, battery-powered (I would prefer solar) After a few weeks, pests stay away. Great value—recommended!

Just does not cut it as a wildlife deterrent!
I have numerous mature peach and plum trees in my backyard. The trees are caged but deer, some bird damage and squirrels are the usual suspects in my area. I thought this product would work so I tried it on a peach tree that matures later in the season, as the others were already picked. I use many long poles as fruit tree supports to prevent damage from deer and breakage of scaffold branches on the trees. I have the device set on high sensitivity. Even if I approached the farthest side of the detector the sprinkler would see me and I had to duck! Two days ago I was looking at the tree and to my chagrin I saw a squirrel actually run up one of the tree support poles, rummaged around and took off with a peach. Did the device see the animal? No. Did it catch it running up the pole? No. After this squirrel disappeared, another showed up and jumped in the tree. I chased it and I got wet but the device didn't pay attention to the squirrel!! Totally laughable situation but this product is basically worthless. Summing up, this may work for deer but if squirrels are a problem avoid this product like the plague.

It has been working so far
So far i like it for keeping the cats away, see video. I have had it for 2 weeks. The only problem is that I had to dial the sensitivity to the minimum because anything above 1 was triggering the sprinkler often for no reason.

Smart Protection for Your Garden, Effortlessly
This motion-activated sprinkler is an incredibly effective and practical solution for keeping unwanted animals away from outdoor spaces. It uses a smart sensor to detect movement and instantly releases a burst of water, which startles animals without harming them. This makes it perfect for protecting gardens, lawns, and yards from pests like cats, dogs, birds, and other wildlife in a safe and eco-friendly way. What I really like about this product is how easy it is to use and how efficient it is in everyday situations. Once connected to a standard hose, it works automatically day and night, helping maintain a clean and undisturbed outdoor area without constant supervision. It’s a great alternative to chemicals or fences, saving both time and effort while keeping your plants and property protected.

Spend more on something more accurate with motion
Just put it up and by night time its already doing its thing, one-of the female cats were in heat for a while and i didnt know what to do with all the spraying and buying enzyme cleaner finally decided to invest in this and yes i doubt they will spray directly on my door and bamboo with this . Update: ive had the sprinkler for abt 2 weeks it is now sprinkling water when nothing is infront of it. Repeatedly over 2 minute time span. I work 12 hr shifts so i now my neighbors are annoyed. I do not recommend. It even dies it at 2 am when im tired and i check my camera there was no cat in my yard. If i have the sensor on 5 it never stops sprinkling as well. I have to keep it at 3 or below which is not getting the motion of the cats that are close to my bamboo that they spray on. Yes it sprinkles but its doing it for no reason which is a waste of water and money . Just invest in an expensive one because buying more of this will result in random sprinkling. In my screenshot you can see the time stamp every time it went off while no one or a cat was there . The motion detected is the water! So im checking my camera thinking someone is in my yard nope just water being wasted on air
