Very fun books!
My son greatly enjoyed/enjoys the Psych t.v series and these books were a wonderful addition to his obsession. Both the series and the books are kid friendly. The books are also written to include a lot of the humor that the series has. He has greatly enjoyed these books and quickly read all of them too.

So much fun to read
This was such a great book. I would recommend this to any Psych fan. William Rabkin does a wonderful job of capturing the Characters from the television show and translating them into this book. Were I must admit that Shawn and Gus are not the same as in the show; there is no way someone can fully capture what the actors bring to the characters. The book was a very fast read and I found myself totally engrossed in the story line. While I read this on my Kindle app at work when I was bored, I flew through it. The plot is clever and fast paced, and I look forward to reading another Tie-in book. I love the show Psych and enjoy reading these books while I wait for the next season to start. To any one who is a fan of the show Psych, I would say this is a must read. For anyone who enjoys a fun easy read, pick one of these books up, sit back, and enjoy.

Enjoyable read
I enjoyed this book a lot. Shawn and Gus end up at a bonding retreat in the wilderness with their client's employees, and one of them is a murderer. As the retreat goes on, there are all kinds of antics of course, but as Shawn and Gus are trying to figure out who the killer is, the killer is bumping them off, one at a time. Just when you think you know who the killer is, the story takes another turn and you begin to suspicion someone else. That's what happens to Shawn and Gus too who finally figure it out just in time. Just like their TV show, Shawn and Gus make the best of the situation even though they are out of their element for sure in this one. Their characters are portrayed exactly as on the show with Shawn all laid back and taking it easy no matter what the situation and Gus worrying over everything and the perfect straight man to Shawn. I liked that I wasn't sure who the killer was until the end and that up to that point, the suspect kept changing. A nice little who dunnit. I found myself not wanting to put down the book because I wanted to see what would happen next. I recommend it.

A must for psych fans.
I'm a rabid psych fan. I keep hoping to hear that the show will come back for Psych 2.0 on Netflix or Hulu, or that they'll do the occasional 1-off Christmas special. Barring that, I was pleasantly surprised to come across these novels. I think there are 3-5 of them. If you hunger for more Psych , this can be your fix.Specifically , the story is essential told from Gus' perspective , with Shawn filling the Sherlock role. Since the tv show is principally from Shawn's perspective , it's a little odd seeing Shawn exclusively through Gus' POV, but that's a minor quibble. It felt very much like regular Psych, and found myself chuckling out loud more than a few times.

Good Read!
If you like the TV series, you should like the book. Shawn and Gus are not quite as goofy/funny as in the show but, the book is still funny. I'm sure the actors improvise.
