Another Heimerdinger win!
I purchased another off-brand heat gun a couple years ago and while it worked, I wasn’t thrilled with the amount of air it moved. This one is hands-down much better! The safety trigger on the Heimerdinger heat gun will take a little getting used to, but I can really appreciate that it won’t accidentally get turned on in the back of my truck, etc. This tool heats quickly and works great for my intended use, which is applying adhesive-lined heat shrink tubing. As with the other Heimerdinger tools I own, this feels solidly built with quality material. I had no trouble learning all its features without the need to read the owners manual.Bottom line, I’d say this is a great value quality tool and I look forward to putting it to use!

Okay for small tasks
Not as hot or blows like a corded heat gun.Works for heat shrink tubing and effort less than hour.Uses up the battery as quickly.Seems well made and it's nonsense to get a digital display on a gun with only two settings

Well worth the price, a solid tool
I've used this on a number of projects, mostly for shrinking heat shrink on high voltage wiring. I love having cordless tools for jobs like this because I often do work "in the field" where it is difficult or impossible to get a cord run for AC power. I'm a big Makita fan so I have lots of Makita LXT tool batteries. Adding this heat gun to my LXT accessories was a nice add.Build quality is SOLID. It looks and feels like a professional tool. Safety switch is a nice feature. I would definitely buy this tool again if I had a need for two of them.

Junk Attachments
So far this heat gun functions well, but the rubber metal attachments are just pure junk. They bend and deform to easily and the plating is falling of in flakes. I just do not understand why these manufacturers can make a nice product and the ruin it with trash accessories.

Makita style battery powered heat gun
Works well for what it is, a knock off of a major brand. Construction is good, controls easy to operate and functions as intended. Depending on heat level selected it does use up batteries quickly. Needed it for a specific project without AC power nearby, so its a win. Would buy again.

Portability and heat level
First thing first. This is a PORTABLE heat gun meaning it's not going to compete with the 110V. Keep that in mind. Second thing. I love the performance of this little gun. For the price it beats my $199 milwaukee heat gun. It blows it out of the water. I would recommend it for those fingers electrical work remotely or in need of a heat gun somewhere out in the field. My main use of it is for soldering connectors and shrink wrap wires and terminals. Refer to picture.

Not as powerful as your 110V
Takes alot longer to seal the glue style heat shrinks...vs the harbor freight 110VBut if your remote, probably a better choice then an open flame.

MUCH BETTER THAN THE ACTUAL MAKITA BRAND UNIT!
I’ve only had this for a couple weeks and used it a few times but this $40 unit blows away the actual Makita brand unit that costs $130 plus. The Makita brand unit is only slighter hotter than a hair dryer while this unit can start a fire when put to paper or wood!If this holds up after a long time of usage it will be a tremendous value!
