Well worth the splurge for working on your feet all day in work boots!
These are costly but great for working on your feet all day in heavy work boots. They seem to hold up really well too. I tried to get my son to hang his to dry as they will last longer than if you put them in the dryer. But, he uses the dryer anyway and they are holding up fine anyway. He has not complained about anything with them in terms of moisture or cushioning. He wears them every day to work even though he has other socks he could wear. They are thick and help fill out and cushion his feet in his big work boots.I will say that he is slender and tall but still finds they leave a bit of an indentation in his leg at the top few inches of the sock. They do stay up very well, but it would be great if they were not quite as snug on top. I don't know how people who are not so slender can wear them. My son doesn't mind, but it would bother me.Due to the durability, cushioning, and his preference for them, I feel they deserve 5 stars and were worth the price we paid. I do think they'd last even longer if they were hung to dry. They are only damp when they come out of the washer so they are dry by morning if he washes at night and hangs them over the shower rod. But, he puts them in the dryer.

Best Boot Sock
These socks are the best I've found for boots. Carhartt nailed it with this fabric blend and sock height. I'm speaking specifically for the brown/orange color sock. When these were sold on Carhartt's website (they've since been discontinued unfortunately) the other colors varied slightly in material blend and possibly fit/height.The socks stay up all day over my calf. They somehow are not too hot in the summer but give some warmth in the winter. After 18 months of owning a couple pairs, wearing them 2-3 times per week, washing, and repeating, they hold up like the day they came out of the package. The material is a little "slippery" right out of the box. After a couple washes they break right in.Grab these socks while you can. I don't know why Carhartt discontinued the model--bad decision on their part. I've yet to find a comparable sock in another brand.I use the socks in all sort of environments; office, outdoors, sweating, freezing, heavy labor, sitting on my duff, and everything in between.

Great for warehouse workers
If you work in steel-toed boots of composite toes, these are honestly pretty sweet. Yes- they can make your feet sweat and smell during the warmer times, but they keep my feet comfortable and from aching constantly. So I can take the sweating, just make sure to wash your feet and it really won't be a problem. 9/10. Would recommend. 👍🏻 (9 because it does make your feet smell from the little bit of sweating, but they're a 10/10 for me!)Also, they do go up to my high calves, so I usually fold them down they add double padding! :)

Carhartt did it right.
I was looking for comfortable socks I could wear everyday for both home and work. I was pleasantly surprised how perfect these socks are. They are well worth the price, though I would buy more of them if they were a tad bit less expensive ;) — The socks are thick enough to keep me warm under my scrubs when it feels like 5 degrees outside, yet comfortable enough to not feel like my feet are stuffed inside my work shoes. The moisture wicking helps your feet feel dry all day, as I’m on my feet with these for 14 hours at a time. Pulled all the way up, they cover my entire calf, ending about 5 inches from my knee (I’m 5’10”). I highly recommend these for anyone looking for warm work socks. I’ll be wearing these all winter long, especially while skiing.

Better than I expected, however ...
I actually bought these socks by mistake because I was looking for something else. These turned out to be better than I expected, however the washing instructions are highly restrictive (wash cold, dry low). The size range is very extreme (shoe size 6 to 12 - Ha, REALLY!). I wear a shoe size 10 and am used to buying socks that fit size 9 to 11. Consequently, these are too large. But I discovered a work-around. I washed them in warm water and medium dry temperature. Now, they fit just right. If you have small feet, you may want to try hot wash and hot dry. The most important feature: they keep my feet warm and dry.

Great but itchy
I got a pair of snake boots for hiking around in certain areas, and discovered that when worn with regular socks, the boots would rub the skin off my ankles. I got these socks to help prevent rubbing and had no rubbing on my ankles whatsoever. They're very soft and comfortable. I wore them in hot weather without feeling like they were too hot, and they seem like they'd also be great for cold weather as well.HOWEVER... The upper part of the socks around my legs itches like hell at first. The itching mostly goes away eventually as my legs get sweaty or I've been hiking for a bit, but there's an uncomfortable period when I first start hiking with them.

Fantastic all around sock for sweat, comfort, odor, warmth, and price
So I work in construction in all types of weather, I wear several different boots depending on what I’m doing or the weather and work 10+ hr shifts so I am on my feet all day. My feet also sweat and in turn smell from sweating. Finally I have tried many different socks and these are amazing. Sure they say they are moisture wicking and odor resistant but they feel like they should be winter socks so I was worried still about the sweat. They are comfortable, fit well, my feet are dry at the end of the day and they also don’t smell. I am very impressed and definitely recommend. The price is great too for what type of socks they are. Anyway if anyone has similar circumstances they are worth the money and time to try

Great sock
These socks are extremely comfortable and I wear them all year long. The socks seem to add a lot of cushion in my boots and since that's all I ever wear and have bad knees, that's a big deal for me. My feet don't get hot spots in the warmer weather like traditional white cotton socks do and my feet stay warm in colder weather. I'm a fishing guide and went out last week and it was 21 degrees when I launched. my feet stayed warm all day. It was 65 here yesterday and i ran a chain saw all day and my feet never got hot so for a ALL YEAR sock. These are the ones.
