Loved the plot and it was an amazing pass time in lockdown.
When I ordered these books I was so excited to read them and my expectations were high And surprisingly it lived upto my expectation. I love Agatha Christie's narration it is easy to understand and as stated above the plot is amazing. It was my first time reading her novel and I loved it. As far for the sleeve it was a little crushed for the corners but the books themselves were in a good shape. But it doesn't really bother me it may bother someone who wants to purchase this as a gift for someone ( that's why four stars) Personally I think you should buy it because it a steal as you get 3 books for 535 rupees.(with a sleeve in which you can store them compactly once read)

A fabulous suspense!
I read this book in 1 sitting. The novel is exciting since page-1, but gets increasingly more addictive as the story progresses. It is about 10 oddly different people invited to a mysterious 'Soldier Island', lured by a common host who is absent on their arrival. Each person has, in their past, directly or indirectly committed a murder that the law cannot get hold of. For each of them, the day of the judgement has arrived. At the island, the pasts of these people resurface. They start getting murdered one-by-one, creepily according to a nursery rhyme dictating the deaths of 10 soldier boys. The book is an unsettling read. The suspense is brilliant. Agatha Christie did a wonderful job of revealing only what is required and only at a particular time. The plot is full of unexpected twists. And the writing style is so gripping. Many times while reading I felt like I was both, a person imprisoned by the pages of this book, and 1 among the people stranded on the island, waiting for the inevitable with a bated breath. It was horrifying, but I wanted more. On the downside, I think some parts are unrealistic. Like how calm most characters are all the time. Also, the actions of the people are a bit too convenient for the murderer, especially when they aligned with the nursery rhyme. Lastly, there are a few plot holes left in the story, but most of them (except one) are comparatively insignificant to the overall theme. For more, follow @couchcoffeebooks on Instagram.
