Bought this for our 13 yr old grandson's Christmas... he loved it! Worked well with the app on an Android phone.

A sturdy little beastie

The Cainda USB Microscope is a surprisingly powerful little device for the price. Setup was straightforward, and it connected easily to both my Windows laptop and Android phone. The image quality is sharp, with adjustable magnification that makes it perfect for inspecting electronics, coins, or even plant details. The built-in LED lights are bright enough to illuminate small objects clearly.

The bottom line is, this thing works well and gives you good magnification but does have a couple of little quirks. The primary niggle is that's a bit tricky to focus, it can take a bit of trial and error BUT, obviously at this price point, you can't expect too much. It's much easier in the stand, if you are just out and about then you just get yourself a fixed point you are happy with and use then without adjusting (i.e. looking at plants or something) so in that respect, it works fine if you do a very quick bit of prep. I needed this to help me with some soldering of some bits and bobs I am fixing, and for me it worked really well after the initial tinkering getting the focus right. The magnification was sufficient for me to see what I was doing and I'm overall happy with that. The app is really basic, it really just uses your device as the screen but works fine on my Android device so gives me all I need. A bit more expensive, I'd give this 4 stars, but overall I think it's pretty good for the price you pay. Doesn't require batteries, easy to setup and use, reasonably portable, reasonably priced, helped me accomplish a task. What more could you want.

This is a great little microscope, with good results, but quite fiddly to get working. Inside the box you get the microscope, stand and instructions. This does need to have an app installed to work, which is available on Android and iOS. The cable has an inline control to adjust brightness and take pictures, with the end sporting USB C, iOS lightning, USB A and Micro USB connectors to allow multiple connection types for most devices. Setup was relatively easy, although on my Samsung phone I had to switch the USB connection type otherwise the app would not recognise that the microscope was connected. I did also have to reboot my phone if I haven't used the microscope for a few days. Once connected and working, point the microscope at what you want to look at and using the rotating base you set the focus. Inside the app there is a further zoom button which will zoom in a few times for closer pictures. Whilst the pictures are fine for most people, and the quality is mostly ok, at times it is difficult to get a good angle for the best picture. Its also fiddly to get the lighting right when you are focussing really close on something, however for the price of this then I wont complain too much about that. I do think this is a microscope that kids are going to absolutely love, as will their parents and grandparents when they are looking at things together. Overall, a great little fun microscope that works well, gives good results, but can be tricky and fiddly to get working depending on the phone you are using.

This USB Microscope has really impressed me especially considering the reasonable price. It is widely compatible with phones, tablets & computers including; iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac etc. To make the microscope easy to connect to most devices, the included connection cable has multiple connectors; USB-C, Lightning, USB-A and even Micro USB. The Microscope comes with a user manual and a simple, but effective stand which keeps it stable. Resolution is 1920 x 1080P (which is Full HD) and although it takes some practice and fiddling to get the microscope focused, once you do the quality of the image is excellent and very useful for a number of hobbies, (or simply curiosity). Overall, at the current retail price, (£29.99 as I write this review), this USB Microscope is great quality and represents excellent value for money.

I really like this all-metal stand! It's very lightweight and the build quality is excellent - EVERYTHING except the soft PVC coating of the clamp prongs is metal. There is absolutely no flex in any parts except the clamp and it feels rock solid when placed on a flat surface. There is even nice quality silicone-like feet on the bottom of the stand to prevent it from skidding around your table. While this inexpensive but great quality stand is marketed as a microscope holder I found a ton of other uses on my workbench including holding my flux dispensing syringe and keeping repair parts in place. Recommended!

Se enfoca muy bien

Il mondo dell’informatica e dei suoi accessori non finisce di stupirti. Adesso è il turno di questo bellissimo accessorio che mai e poi mai avrei detto potesse esistere. Il risultato che si ottiene dal suo uso è un’immagine nitida ingrandita fino a 200 volte che ben si presta per utilizzi disparati (lo sto testando in campo modellistico). Il tutto con un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Se avete un’idea di come utilizzarlo, acquistatelo e non vi pentirete. Ultima nota positiva a corredo dell’oggetto: libretto istruzioni chiaro e anche in italiano.
