Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 55-300mm F/4.5-5.6G ED VR Telephoto Zoom Lens for Nikon DSLR Camera

Excellent lens at most affordable price. I have tested it last week on weekend tour and the result was more than my expectation.Some important points to remember, it has minimum 55mm zoom, so you need to stand at minimum distance of 1.5 mtr or more to get group photos, close-ups can be taken but taking group photos or for capturing good amount of background along with you in the frame you need to place your camera more than 2 mtrs.Low light photography results are awesome on this lens without a problem.Only problem is the weight of the lens, its bulky and if you are using standy for shooting it should be of good quality to withstand the weight.Also hands may get tired by continuously holding it for long hours.

I bought this lens from Amazon, through their vendor Zooming Camera, last month for use with my new Nikon D3200. Very good service from Amazon .... not the quickest but more like reliable.I have found this lens build quality as very good for the price but was disappointed to see that nowadays these cheaper lens are made in China and not Japan.Having said that, I still find the lens as very simple to use with pretty good picture quality in good light but a little slow and lower quality in low light situations.The AF is very good, and silent, and also accurate most of the time .... but then if you have a problem focusing with AF the manual focus is simple to use too and focus is very good & fast.Its an excellent lens for this price, if its your first on a budget. Go for it and you will straight away notice the difference in quality in your pictures from the kit lens which you probably got with your dslr.

This is what i wanted...!!I got Nikon 55-300mm vr lens for Rs.18000/-It is an excellent product from Nikon. It gives perfect results when combined with my Nikon D5300. The output is superior image quality with crystal clear and razor sharp images.This is a versatile piece of lens which can be used in variety of conditions like indoors, outdoors, landscape, scenery, daytime, nightlife, sports, action, wedding, events, and wildlife photography. It produces excellent video output too. The advantage points of this piece of lens is that it has a solid construction. It is rugged built. It is durable. It has consistent output. It is easily interchangeable. And best of all, its a Nikon. So you can rely on the quality.This is best lens for newcomers in photography.

well i just simply love this 55-300mm afs dx format zoom lens.. works fine with my D5300..autofocus is little bit slow though... nd whenever i shake this lens i feel that something(maybe motor) is moving from inside..don't know iit's a defective problem or not...but apart from all of these this lens is simply awsome.. it gives you super depth nd crispy sharper images...which is so good even you want to print them out from your camera and frame them on your walls...it's a bit heavier though.. well that's not a problem.. images are still sharp in 300mm..but there is one problem and it is it's slow autofocus...well neglect this problem and simply go for it...✌✌✌✌

The zoom in or zoom out is not working properly with my Nikon D3200 camera.

An awesome lens for distance photography. For new comers few thing I must share1. As the aparture is not so wide, lowlight shot will dissapoint you. So it is a lens for bright light photography. Dont use it at night.2. Auto focus need to travel from 55 to 300. It takes little time. So it is not good for fast photography.3. It is a heavy weight lens. Your arm will start paining if you don't use tripod.4. Excellent delivery by amazon. I bought 35mm lens from flipkat but the packet was opened but this was nicely packed.

A very good outdoor lens... Not great for indoors... Was delivered in good condition... The focus is not very slow but is not fast as well... After purchasing the lens I was educated by an external party that one should be very careful with the lens as if the focus ring is turned when in auto focus mode, the motor will be destroyed in a split second.But in general a very good budget lens for beginners.
