Great boot! AND CHEAP!!!!
Don't let the el cheap-o price of this boot fool you: its a great boot! It's constructed well -- if not exactly the same-- as mid-priced boots. It lacks the fancy name but who cares?!I actually bought TWO boots here on Amazon (this one obviously) the one that claimed to be "low profile" really was NOT!! And it was more than twice the price of this one. However, Low Profile Boot -- which had a really nice fancy label -- had an impressive video & important looking pictures of the technology & proven statements that it was the same height as a sneaker. It also hyped up a rounder bottom. I wore it for 2 weeks, around the house only, and the bottom (which the rounder bottom was scary-slippery) started to peel off!!Here's the real deal: Low Profile just looked lower on the outside. The rocker bottom also aids in it looking lower. It is maybe 1-2 cm lower, in reality, than this boot. It was also really uncomfortable. The inside sleeve didn't go around my calves well, and there was something that dug into the inside of my ankle which was right where my incision was. The little pieces of foam (2 for the Low Profile Boot) were very thin and wore out within the two weeks I wore the boot around the house only. This boot is very comfortable. It doesn't dig in in any specific place and has 4 thicker pads of foam that hold up really well. I've worn this boot around the house and outside. Holding up very well with quite rigorous use.I wear a size 8.5 women's shoe and have on-the-larger size calves and this size Medium is perfect. You could go up to a size 10 I would think as there is quite a lot of room in the front. Some suggestions for the newbies: (things I wish someone would have told me)My suggestion is to get an "Even Up" leveler for your other shoe so you don't get a sore back or knees. You can search for it here on Amazon. It's about $30.The first time you use the boot, don't pull the Pull Up tabs out yet!! Fit the sleeve first, then, while sitting in a chair and the boot on the floor, put your sleeved leg inside the boot. Push your heel as back as you can. If you have tightness in the Achilles, you will not want to pull the Pull Up tab out until your ligaments/tendons have stretched enough to put your foot in at a 90 degree angle. So save the Pull Up tab until later. (it has Velcro to stick to the sides of the foot sleeve to keep it in place)If your Achilles is tight, stretch it out before you put the boot on for the day.Once you are in the boot, secure your toes first, then the ankle, then work your way up the boot. It's a little tricky with the Velcro straps at first. Mine would get all tangled up or fall off or stick to something else - if you stick the Velcro onto itself when removing, you'll always know exactly where the strap is.If the toe and ankle Velcro are too long, don't cut them!! Just bend it back and tuck it into the strap holder. Then it won't be hanging out.The blue inflator does work -- you just need to follow the arrows to tighten it when inflating, and loosen when deflating. Don't blow it up too much until you get a feel for how tight you want/need it to be. It will also POP if you inflate it too much or try to take it off when it is still inflated.Good luck... sorry about you wearing a boot -- but you are going to save a few hundred bucks buying this cheap gem!

one word.... AMAZING!!!!
I rarely write reviews unless I'm absolutely blown away by a product. I recently ordered the United Ortho USA Air Cam Walker boot and have been absolutely impressed with the quality. My son broke his foot several months ago and we paid $250 for a walking boot from our hospital that was about 1/3 the quality of this one. A few days ago, I missed the last step at our house and broke my foot, so I declined the walking boot the hospital was going to issue me and ordered the UnitedOrtho one instead hoping it would be at least as good as the one we had before. Not only is it more so much more affordable, but its way more comfortable and the overall quality of construction is far better. If anyone is looking for a boot, don't look any further. You WILL NOT be disappointed. Please note: I'm not incentivized in any way for this review. I'm just a very happy customer. :)

Most comfortable boot!
Most comfortable boot! The best support and cushion for healing a compound fracture to tibia and broken ankle. Our son’s orthopedic surgeon’s technician gave him an ill fitting heavy uncomfortable boot, so I found this one on Amazon. It has made a huge difference in his healing process! Cannot go wrong with this product, thank you!!

Overall fantastic
First of all, I've only had this cast for three days now, so I'm not sure of the long-term durability, but I've walked an estimated 6 miles in it so far (including about an hour walking in a heavy rainstorm) and it seems very rugged. The cast is incredibly easy to use, just make sure you deflate it before putting it on. My cast was partially inflated so my heel didn't go all the way to the back until I deflated it.Price-wise, this cast also wins big points; the university doctor was going to give me the same cast for $120! Since my insurance is high-deductible and we haven't met our threshold yet, it was much cheaper to order from here. I ordered two-day shipping and it got here in two days.Lastly, the comfort is impeccable with just one conditional exception that I'll mention later. I got this cast for a metatarsal stress fracture because walking with regular shoes was very painful. When I wear the boot there isn't any pain whatsoever in my foot, and I've already noticed some improvement. The only exception in comfort I noticed a pinching sensation the first day I wore it, but it went away after some time so I didn't pay it much thought, When I got home and took off the cast, a patch of skin on my leg was hairless! I watched some videos online before ordering this cast and they said to wear knee-high socks when using a product like this, which I was not doing. I figure wearing a sock would have prevented the issue, and it could also just be that my leg hairs are peculiar this way since I've had a similar thing happen before with a pair of shorts.Overall, this is a great product; it does its job, it's cheap, it's comfortable, and I would recommend it to anyone with one of the listed conditions. I'll update my review to 5 stars if it withstands the test of time and lasts until my recovery.

Exact boot/ orthotic @ half the price!
What a find! This was the exact orthotic my doctor wanted me to wear for 6 months. I have been in an older type and needed a new one d/t the length of treatment. He found it for half the price it was going to cost out of pocket. I wear an 8 wide shoe and the small fits perfect. It’s comfortable, durable and easy to put on. The rocker bottom makes walking easy even in Upstate NY winter. There is a good tread on the bottom. I highly recommend.

This will definitely do the job…
I wear a US size 11D in most footwear. Even with a little edema, my toe reaches the end of the size Large boot, making it a perfect fit. The materials seem to be of reasonable quality. The second strap from the toe seems a little short, but sufficient. The padding is more than adequate. I’m confident that this will help me recover quickly from a shattered tibia and fibula. And I don’t have to wait for the VA and my orthopedic surgeon to figure out the paperwork. ;-)
