Love this humidifier. It works really well in our 21x13' living room. The remote control from the phone is a huge plus. I think one can hook it up to Alexa too, but I never took the time to do it. Easy to clean. Very quiet. A good product at a good price.

I didn’t expect to develop emotional attachment to a humidifier, but here we are. This DREO Smart humidifier has fully inserted itself into my daily life like some kind of well-hydrated overlord. First of all, it has an app. An app. I can be sitting on my couch, wrapped in a blanket, feeling vaguely like a raisin, and instead of getting up like a peasant, I just tap my phone and—boom—moisture is deployed. The mist? Immaculate. Not aggressive, not suspiciously weak—just a steady, dignified cloud like it has a graduate degree in atmosphere management. My skin feels better, my plants look less judgmental, and even my sinuses have started acting like they’ve forgiven me for past neglect. Also, it tells me the humidity level in real time, which I now check way too often, like it’s the stock market. “Oh wow, we’re at 42%? Big day. Big day.” Bonus points: it’s quiet. Not “I think it’s off” quiet, but “I can sleep without feeling like I’m inside a haunted aquarium” quiet. Downside? I now judge every room that doesn’t have one. Dry air? In this economy? Couldn’t be me. Final verdict: 10/10, would willingly become dependent on again.

While we have a central, forced-air HVAC system, I have supplemented this with a room humidifier in our master bedroom during the mid-Atlantic winters. I had been pleased with the Taotronics ultrasonic unit, but it appears to have been discontinued. After extensive research, I bought this 6 liter Dreo ultrasonic unit. Over this past winter, it has surpassed my expectations. First: Humidification Performance. Our bedroom is almost 250 sq. ft. with a 9 ft. ceiling height. We have a ceiling fan, operating at the lowest speed. We put the humidifier on a small table that is about 2 feet above the floor. The Dreo unio is capable of dispensing water at three rates. I've settled on the lowest rate. The unit has a built-in relative humidity (RH) meter (which I've verified using a sensor elsewhere in the bedroom.) I set the Dreo control to 30 % RH, which is our preference. The unit brings the RH to that level and sustains that all night (and all the next day)! Additional helpful features: 1. No dampness on the surrounding carpet - the fine mist evaporates before falling to the floor. 2. Directional mist flow. A modestly adjustable louver can keep the mist from settling on an adjacent piece of furniture. 3. Easy to fill. This is a top loader. I can either lift the top of the water tank and pour water from a gallon milk jug (after making sure all the milk residue is gone) or lift the water tank and carry it to a sink for filling. I've done both with no mess. Note that 6 liters of water plus the tank weighs about 15 lb. 4. Large, lit RH display for setting the target RH and the water dispersion rate. 5. An LED also lights the water tank, with the color indicating the RH range. This can be turned off at night. 6. The unit comes with a plug-in water filter that, so far, has trapped the mineral content of the water. This makes humidifier and water tank clean-up very easy. The instructions suggest a timetable. In about three months, I've seen no build-up or aroma. I do the clean-up about monthly. 7. NOTE: This unit is so quiet, I can't hear it when it's running. This is great for sleeping. It's not a problem at other times, since the unit automatically turns off when (a) the RH reaches the pre-set value (turning on again if the RH drops) or (b) the water level in the tank gets below a pre-set level. In short, this is an outstanding performer at a low price. I'm pleased to have found it and expect you will be too.

All I wanted was a humidifier. I didn’t expect to have to add an app. It’s a very elegant looking humidifier. I’ll have admit the app makes operating easier. I put about 2 full gallons in the Dreo and I run it 24/7. You can schedule it, set the amount of humidity, set the speed, set the lighting on or off, and turn off the display if you rather not look at it. From about 20 feet away you barely hear it running. I should’ve bought the larger one. Why? Using a larger one would save me some counter space. This Dreo is putting out a good deal of moisture, however, on really cold nights when the furnace runs more often, the Dreo this size has a hard time keeping up. That’s the main reason for considering a larger model. Overall, I’m satisfied with this little unit. My nose and throat already feels better, to say nothing about the skin, which is terrific. Now, that damn essential oil drawer is the only drawback. We put essential oil in it to test it out. It was very pleasant. The next day I was showing my wife how works, and fail. The spring loaded drawer mechanism completely disintegrated. It was in pieces. I was very disappointed. I wrote Dreo immediately and sent them a picture. They responded the next Monday as had wrote them on Friday. The responder seem to know what I needed, so I relaxed a little. However, the parts they sent me was cleaning equipment, another essential oil drawer, a brush for cleaning and some other parts I had no idea where they went. They failed to send instructions. I decided to be a passive consumer and let it go. The defective drawer wouldn’t be missed. Did I mention the Dreo can be set to remind you when it needs cleaning? One more thing, you’ll know when the Dreo is not keeping up. It changes color from a cool blue to bright orange. This humidity indicator lets you know when the humidity drops below 30%. Would buy this again or recommend it? Definitely.

This item works great for my bedroom which is 14'x11'. I love the color lighting that you can turn off or keep on. I keep the lighting on, it gives a nice ambience. Settings are simple and straightforward but I will say I haven't used all of the options. I'm a simple man, ok! I love the fact that it has an essential oil tray which is a great addition. I re-apply oil every 3 days of constant use. Too much? Maybe, but I love my essential oils. Sleep quality has definitely improved when in use and the quietness of the unit definitely helps with that. Filling up the tank is easy but not very portable since water drains out of the bottom of the unit by design. Cleaning the unit could use some improvement but I know cleaning humidifiers is a bit cumbersome. This unit is definitely easier than previous units I have owned. All in all, residing in a very dry climate and very old household, this item fills my needs and I would not go without it, unless I get a bigger unit. Which might happen. We'll see.

Perfect! I love the settings, I love the colors, I love the direction of flow, and *side note* always use distilled water or you’ll be disappointed! Had it for weeks and not had a problem with it yet! I wake up without feeling like I traveled through the desert! Happy with my purchase!

If I could give it 4.5 stars, I would. This humidifier works perfectly for what I really need it for. My basement gets dry during the winter months, and I needed something to get some moisture in the air. I’m personally a big fan of the top fill design as it saves me the time and potential mess from having to remove the tank and fill from the bottom, as other humidifiers do. The setup is easy and straightforward. If you were to purchase this, make sure you remove all the factory tape as they are in some easy to miss spots. This humidifier also connects to your phone/wifi, so you can personalize when it comes on, what humidity level you want to maintain, light control (it has an ambient light in the center that displays humidity level), screen control, etc. Again, very easy to use and is a nice touch considering other humidifiers I was looking at did not offer such features. If you’re someone who isn’t into a “smart” device, no worries, you don’t have to connect it to your wifi or phone or anything. The water capacity is nice as well. A full tank will last roughly two days when I have it set to auto, meaning it only comes on when it needs to. Furthermore, it doesn’t have a large footprint, so it won’t take up much space in the room. It’s a nice subtle and (most importantly) quiet addition to the room that has a sleek modern design to it. An issue I did have, one I noticed others in reviews had as well, is that it will emit this fine, white dust over time. I ONLY had this issue when using purified water from my refrigerator. I’m assuming it is minerals left in the water that settle once the moisture in the air evaporates. A quick and easy fix to this is to simply just use distilled water. Since I have swapped to using distilled water, the dust is not an issue.

This is genuinely one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. Solely because of the quality and functionality. This humidifier is literally a set it and forget it kind of product. It connects easily to Wi-Fi and the apps functionality to be able to set a schedule for when you need to run is amazing. And being able to pick a humidity level and leave it is great too. I love the fact that there’s a dark mode where not even the buttons light up the smallest amount, but if you do choose to turn the lights on, this thing actually looks really really cool. Also the output is unlike any humidifier I’ve ever seen. Not only does it shoot a large, wide stream, but you can actually adjust the direction. I have had it for a week in my room where we run the air conditioner at 66°. This will normally dry the air out, and even in that condition, I’ve said it to 48% humidity and it’s not even halfway through the water that I filled it up with.10/10. Buy it.
