Works just like the remote supplied with my Bravia 8 only backlit
I bought two of these remotes to use with my Bravia 8 TVs. I wanted something backlit. The remote works the same as the one supplied with the Bravia TVs. As a matter of fact, if you don't try to pair both the new remote and old one at the same time, you can use both. That is what I do. I have the remote near the TV and the older one in the Kitchen. I love the backlighting. I just wish the remote included a charge cable (OK, even phones don't include a charger anymore.) and charging instructions. Also, finding a complete manual is a ticket to frustration. BTW, who warranty's this? Sony?

Works great!
As previously noted, this is a genuine Sony remote and works as described with back-light and is rechargeable. Connected to my Bravia 7 without an issue and all buttons function as they should.

Dear Sony, do better.
This remote is an authentic sony product. It's only provided with Sony TV purchased at Costco and some other "big box stores" Unfortunately, the OLED BRAVIA 77" was out of stock there, so I purchased it from Best Buy. Why wouldn't the premium remote come with the premium TV? Dear Sony, do better.

Great Service
1st remote sent to me was damaged and did not work. Replacement remote was sent out the next day without any issues.

Unreliable Chinese copy
The remote lit up every time I picked it up... for the first 10 times. I've only had it a couple of weeks and it only lights up about 25% of the time. The batteries are brand new, so it's just an unreliable Made In China copy of Sony's real remote.

Why is this Sony remote not Standard?
Would have given 5 stars if it came with a charging cord (USB-C)Functionally it is excellent, back lighting is adequate. Not having to replace batteries is great.Keep your original remote for use when you are charging this one, you can pair multiple remotes at the same time

A waste of $63 dollars
Didn’t even last 6 months. It stopped charging and now it is completely dead. Definitely not worth $63 dollars and I wish I had that money back right now.

same as original remote. Paired easily with bravia 8 tv. Battery life is the same as well.
