I bought it in US several years back and it's been reliably working. Battery consumption isn't bad and the best part is min and max readings for temperature and humidity. Must be accurate as it's readings kinda match with those of other devices (different make), can't comment on accuracy beyond that. The OK indicator perhaps made sense in the US but without recalibrating, is pretty useless here, and I notice it's quite pricy too in Indian money. Hope that helps.

The kickback stand came off on second day itself. Had to fix it myself to keep it on table. It doesn't seems to calculate High/Ok/Low correctly. First few days it used to show room humidity as OK, since then it constantly shows High irrespective of the other value changes. Winter is gone and summer has come, still it is stuck at High. Not sure about the same issues are present in another piece. But am not happy with the purchase/piece which I received.

Great value. Seems accurate. I compared with one other electronic one and an analog one. All three were within a percent or two, over an extended period of time. So what if one says 61%, another 59%, another 62% - who knows which one is absolutely spot on? In my mind, this is close enough to call it accurate.

I bought a ThermoPro TP157 2 pack prior to this hygrometer. I needed to monitor the humidity inside and outside an electronic dry cabinet. I suspected the ThermoPro might have been off because the humidity levels seemed very low (inside and out). I bought this one just to make sure and the readings are exactly the same as the 2 ThermoPro's give or take 1% of relative humidity and 1 degree Celsius. So either they are all not accurate to the same extent or they are accurate and the humidity levels are really low where I live. Inside the dry cabinet 30% humidity is typical, just outside the dry cabinet 40% is typical and it will go up to 45-50% on occasion according to all three of these little gizmos. Between the ThermoPro and the AcuRite, I prefer the AcuRite simply because the readings are easier to see from a distance (slightly bigger numbers). Essentially it's slightly bigger, looks better and costs a little more as well. It has a clip in the back that can be used as a support as a tabletop device and it also has a magnet. It uses a single AA battery (not included). I don't know how long the battery will last.

Having bought cheaper types to monitor the condensation issues in a 400 old house l found major differences in accuracy which defeated the purpose. This model was recommended on a website l was looking at so l bought it and quickly realised how good it was.Well worth the extra few quid.
