Works as advertised

I would rate this product 3.8/5 (So, Pretty good but not the Very good or best catagory) Pros- 1. These are active and they work well. (I have tested them by cutting open a pac and pouring it directly onto some leftover coffee that I had in my coffee mug and it absorbed the liquid instantly. The problem is that some people are expecting 1 packet to absorb a ton of water). 2. These are non-color changing silica gels (People are complaining that it doesn't change color, while it clearly mentions that already) 3. These are pretty cheap. 4. Packaging is decent, not good or great but Decent enough to get the job done. CONS- 1. Not Food Grade. 2. As stated earlier, Packaging is decent. Could have been better. Such as non-tear packaging (Which will drive up the cost, I understand). 3. The quality of these silica gels are good but I felt like these are not the BEST. (But again, Best would cost more money I guess) Overall, I am pretty satisfied with the product and I don't have any major complaints, except the part that these are not Food Grade. But other than that, considering the price. These are pretty good. I do use these regularly in my closet, car, book shelf etc (Since I got a big packet) and I'm happy with it.

Not musture absorbing

The Product doesn't seem to work. I have added about 12 packet in a Air tight silicon sealed Container and added hygrometer to check the humidity. The Meter showed 64% Humidity when added and it's is 62% after 48 hrs with container sealed packed. It should have gone below 30 by this time. Looks like the silica is not real in the packet. Don't buy.

It's a must product for monsoon if you live in cities like Mumbai Pune. Just buy one pack at the beginning of the monsoon and keep the sachets in your car at multiple locations. Shoe racks, sports equipment and you are good to cope up with the monsoon. If you have shoes in show boxes, put them in too. If you use them, the smell of a stagnant car will go away. Only feedback that can be given is to introduce smaller packaging

Spartan Silica Gel - 5 Gram Desiccant Pouch of 80 pcs Pack is a good silica gel. it keeps the humidity away and is a good dehumidifier. We used it in the garment cupboard and and found it to be effective.

This item is a total waste of money. The packaging itself is not proper. Just a plastic bag sealed at both ends. I doubt whether this will adequately protect the contents from absorbing outside moisture. The contents do nothing to reduce the moisture in my dry cabinet for my expensive cameras. The humidity meter shows no change even after emptying the whole packet into the cabinet!The product does not deserve even one star.
