Can be connected directly to a non Aqara hub if you do some research (Hubitat/HA)
Reports of it disconnecting: Fix using Hubitat is to install the Aqara P1 motion sensor, from package manager, manually Zigbee pair nearby hub (within 1 m) with avoiding repeaters (C8), directly after doing a rebuild Zigbee network TWICE which allows a better pairing operation , also after the first pairing , save then do a re-pairing operation again, the same device will be found and further data about the sensor will have been added, the device will have been recognised and the driver loaded. If the attributes like occupancy /motion show and shows ONLINE for longer than a few minutes, then you have probably succeeded in pairing fully to Hubitat, if not re-do the process above as it may take a couple of attempts depending on the interference from surrounding equipment. I now have 3 of them and found them very good for medium sized rooms lounge/kitchen/dining etc to keep lights on when occupied. I also dabbled with HomeAssistant and put it on a raspi-pi and used a Sonoff USB dongle plus with co-ordinator software installed, if it has been set to a router, it can be easily flashed back to co-ordinator-search for sonoff website and online flasher (which is what i had to do) Everything I have tried on HA just pairs instantly, and in the process of moving some of my problematic Zigbee devices to it. Works as expected with ''their'' hub and usually needs updating from 0026>0029 which cant be done with other platforms that i know of 'yet'

Great Sensors for home automation projects
Best milliwave sensors for smart home projects as long as your in the room what ever you have paired with this device rather through its native hub and app or through home asistant

My Review of the Aqara FP1 Presence Sensor
I decided to purchase the Aqara FP1 Presence Sensor to address a common issue in my home: lights being left on unnecessarily and ensuring lights turn on when someone enters a room with low natural light. I use a Philips Hue motion sensor to measure light levels, which complements the FP1 perfectly. Installation and Setup The installation process was straightforward and hassle-free. Pairing the FP1 with Home Assistant was a breeze, and I had it up and running in no time. The instructions were clear, and the magnetic base made it easy to place the sensor in the optimal position. Integration and Performance The integration with my existing smart home setup has been seamless. The FP1 works flawlessly with Home Assistant, and since I started using it, my lights come on and go off exactly as needed. This has significantly improved the efficiency of my home automation, ensuring that lights are only on when necessary. Key Features High Sensitivity: The FP1âs ability to detect even minor movements, such as breathing, ensures that it accurately detects presence, even when someone is stationary. Flexible Placement: The magnetic base allows for easy and flexible placement, ensuring optimal coverage. Reliable Automation: The sensorâs precise detection capabilities have made my home automation more reliable, reducing energy waste and enhancing convenience. Overall Experience Overall, I am very satisfied with the Aqara FP1 Presence Sensor. It has addressed my needs effectively, and the integration with my smart home system has been smooth. The sensorâs performance has been reliable, and it has made a noticeable difference in how my home automation functions. I would definitely recommend the Aqara FP1 to anyone looking to enhance their smart home setup with precise and reliable presence detection.

Simpler than the FP2 but still good
Much simpler to use than the FP2 but also lacks the extras such as the light meter and the ability to set zones. We have ours set up in the utility room where we just want lights turned on. Works really quickly if paired with an Aqara light switch.

Constantly disconnects
When they work theyâre great. However Iâve bought two and both kept disconnecting and had to be reset. Iâve returned both of them now

Doesn't work for me
Bought two of these, one for the living room, one for the bedroom which should mean that for the majority of time, as someone will be at home, presence would be detected. Had hoped to set up an automation to turn on the security system when no one is detected at home for 20 mins, in case the last person to leave forgets to. Had also hoped to set up automations to turn on and off devices if going to bed (turning on lights if walking around at night etc) But in the end, I wasn't able to do any of that as the sensors report absence when only a couple of meters away from them. Tried adjusting sensor distance. Raising the sensors off the floor, using AI learning when rooms are. None of it helped. They detect me with perfect line of sight for a couple of metres, but the moment I sit down or walk behind the sofa it claims there's no presence. It's as if they're line of sight as the moment I stand up the app shows I'm only 2 meters from the sensor. The whole reason I went with these instead of cheaper motion sensors was the present detection rather that motion checking by line of sight. In the end these sensors just became paper weights.

Passt so grade ebend.
