Q: Does this humidifier require distilled water or is tap sufficient?

I've been using tap water without problems and I have really hard water. I love the stainless steel water container. I feel confident that I can get it really clean.

Q: I was wondering if all the washable parts as dishwasher safe as well? And does mold build up in the Oscillator?

Hi! The stainless steel detachable on the lid & the stainless still bowl that holds the water are dishwasher safe. The oscillator is not. They say to wash it by hand. If you do this weekly it doesn't take a lot of time. I love the easy clean of this model.

Q: Have people had issues with the plastic ultrasonic part breaking? When Wirecutter tested this product in late 2021 it broke, twice, on them.

I have used this humidifier a lot with zero issues. The ultrasonic part is sturdy so unless you are trying to damage it don’t see how it can break. Best humidifier I’ve ever had. Extremely easy to clean.
