Does this have the same size blade as the alox solo?

-The bantam and cadet are part of the 84mm series. (Smaller blade than 91mm or 93mm series) -The 91mm range has a larger blade. (Plastic handled knives) -The 93mm range (all Alox versions/ aluminum handles) has a blade about the same size as the 91mm but it's slightly thicker on the spine. All Swiss Army knives have an excellent warranty and their blades are very durable for what they are. I currently use all 3 different types of blade sizes. No issues/problems what-so-ever Sakwiki.com is a great resource to learn more about current and discontinued models.

Is this a solid edc or should I be looking for a real knife?

Depends on your needs. I work in an office now and this works perfect for me. Victorinox is generally not seen as "Threatening" unlike most other "Tactical" type knives are. I used to carry a Spiderco and switched to this Victorinox knife and have not had any regrets. The blade is sharp big enough for most tasks I need to perform and looks classy. If you work in trade type job like I did before I would say this is probably no the best knife for that.

Is this a sturdy knife? Looking at the electrician but in reality I just want a key chain option and have no need for a nail file on the cadet?

It is very sturdy. The blade and bottle opener lock into the “open” position with no discernible wobbling. Note that there is no key ring - you’ll have to put it in your pocket, but it’s thin and takes up very little space. It’s a great knife.

Can you attach a key ring to it?

No, the knife does not have a way to attach a key ring or lanyard, etc. However, the knife is very thin and easily fits in a pocket.
