Second times the charm
This is my second pair of Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 headphones, I loved the first pair so much that when the battery started swelling after about a year of daily use, I immediately replaced them. They’re comfortable, lightweight, and perfect for running or cycling while still being aware of your surroundings. The sound quality is excellent for bone conduction with clear mids and highs, and decent bass for the format. The fit is secure and they stay in place no matter the activity. Battery life on the second pair seems just as good as the first, and charging is quick although I do miss the magnetic charging from my last pair. I also appreciate how easy they are to pair with devices and that the controls are simple and intuitive. Overall, exactly what I expect from Shokz, reliable, high-quality bone conduction headphones that make workouts and everyday use enjoyable. Definitely worth the investment.

Great for my work and sport
Fantastic. I wear these for an 8 hour shift at work (delivery driver), then for a run of at least an hour after my shift, 6 days a week. The battery never runs out, though I charge them up daily. Having great sound quality whilst also letting me be aware of my surroundings is perfect for my circumstances. Also fully waterproof, light and comfortable, and very difficult to lose compared to earbuds.

Goodbye running nausea
Finally, headphones I can run with. While I love the sound quality and noise canceling of some other headphones, anything that plugged my ears or messed with air pressure would make me nauseous. These don’t weigh my head down, make my ears feel hot, or block off the cool air while run. I hardly notice they’re on my head.

Shockingly good quality sound
While these headphones are good they are not solely bone conduction so if you're buying these for that if you're hard of hearing, there are likely others better suited to your needs. They do use some bone conduction but mainly for bass, the other sounds are on a tiny speaker aiming towards your ear canal. That being said if I plug my ears I can still hear the music so the conduction is relatively good. Fit is good, I didn't get them for vigorous exercise so cannot confirm how good they are in that regard but for walking my dogs or working in the office with music and still being able to speak to and interact with people I cannot fault them. The fit is comfortable, having a fairly large head there is some snugness unless I was sent the mini version by mistake but they don't hurt to wear for a long period. The sound is very good for music, mainly metal and rock with some synth, picks up the bass and various tones. Phone calls are ok but I've only had one so far and the other person was using an in car hands free so the audio quality on their end was not as good Charging is quick and battery life is surprisingly decent I got a solid 6 hours when I first got them before charging. My one gripe is the volume control, I have it quite low in the office to hear music and people but sometimes I need it louder when it's busy. The next step up is a bit too loud and begins to make it harder to hear people talk to me. I wish the volume was more incremental, it feels like it jumps in blocks of 10%. I can somewhat mitigate this if I adjust the volume using my watch but this is at best a workaround. Really hoping this could be fixed with firmware updates.

I love, love, LOVE these Bone Conductors.
It was delivered quickly thanks to Amazon Prime delivery (next day). Beautifully packaged. This isn't the first one SHOKZ OpenRun Pro I've had; I still own and using the previous model - and I use it A LOT. I wouldn't be exagerating if I said I easily use it between 4-6 hours every day and night - it's what keeps me sane. I bought the latest model as a back up. In both, they are comfortable to wear; they don't give me headaches or ear ache like over the headphones use to, or those stupid ear pods that fall out and are easy to lose. They connect up quickly with anything that has bluetooth. USB-C Quick Charge - an improvement on the old magnectic charger. Charge lasts 12 hours; that's 2 hours longer than the previous model. The sound quality is brilliant; my music taste is eclectic but mainly hard rock and metal so base is important, and that's pretty good on these. The wee speakers do help with that I think. Audio is smooth and balanced when listening to audiobooks and podcasts. Volume buttons are easy to use, and so is the stop/pause button. Can easily jump forward and backwards when listening to tracks too. I love these B.C.s and couldn't live without them.

I wanted to like these, but after using them, I’m returning them – Not worth £135
Review: Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 – Not worth £135 I wanted to like these, but after using them, I’m returning them. Positives 1. Phone calls in quiet environments Phone calls in a quiet, controlled environment are good. The other person can hear you clearly, and you can hear them reasonably well. Hands-free calling while still being aware of your surroundings is genuinely useful, especially for meetings or light work situations. 2. Environmental awareness Being able to hear what’s going on around you is a real benefit. This can be useful for work situations or when you don’t want to be fully isolated. Comfort while standing or walking is fine, and the controls are acceptable. Negatives 1. Not loud enough This is the main issue. They are simply not loud enough. Music never reaches a level where it feels immersive or enjoyable, especially outdoors. In traffic, wind, or city noise (I tested them cycling in central London), they cannot compete with background noise at all. 2. Fit and positioning issues Holding or repositioning them manually makes them louder, which suggests the fit isn’t optimal despite using the correct size. This may depend on head or ear shape, but how they naturally sit does not always align properly. 3. Rear band causes problems The rear band gets pushed out of position if you wear a scarf, hood, neck warmer, or lean your head back against a sofa or pillow. This makes them impractical for relaxing, working from a couch, or wearing in colder weather. 4. Awkward appearance They look quite awkward on your head. Wearing them all the time feels uncomfortable socially (like you are dressed for Star Trek), and the only alternative is wearing them around your neck, which isn’t great. 5. Poor portability They’re large, the case is bulky, and you can’t just put them in a pocket like earbuds. Carrying them around is inconvenient. 6. Charging design Charging is mildly annoying. The USB cable goes in at an angle with no clear guide, which feels awkward and slightly fragile. 7. Price At £135, these are far too expensive for what they offer. If they were £50–£60, I might consider keeping them. At this price, the compromises in volume, comfort, and practicality aren’t acceptable. Better earbuds offer far superior sound and usability for the money. Conclusion Good idea, but the technology isn’t there yet at this price point. Useful only in very specific situations (quiet phone calls or certain work environments). Not loud enough, too bulky, awkward to wear, and overpriced. If Shokz wants to gift them to me, i'd be happy to keep them, but otherwise i will be returning them

Clear sound, long-lasting battery, and ultimate comfort
he SHOKZ OpenRun Pro 2 has completely transformed my running experience — easily the best thing I’ve bought for hitting the pavement. The open-ear design is brilliant, keeping me aware of my surroundings while still delivering impressively clear audio. The sound quality is crisp, with excellent balance for music and podcasts alike. Battery life is outstanding, comfortably lasting through long runs without needing a recharge. They’re lightweight, secure, and comfortable, so I barely notice them even on extended sessions. Overall, these headphones make every run more enjoyable and motivating — a must-have for any runner who wants high-quality sound without blocking out the world. Verdict: Clear sound, long-lasting battery, and ultimate comfort — perfect for long runs. Highly recommended!

This is a game changer ...
I saw this and did not think for one minute it would be able to give me decent sound whilst I was out and about doing my exercises and oh boy was I wrong, It is amazing, so comfy to wear , totally bangs out your tunes without you missing anything around you, like I can exercise and talk to my friend and still have the music playing out and it does not bother anyone other than give me a great time, I believe this is the latest version of this model and I am glad that I bought it, so far I have tested it for every genre of music in all kinds of outside conditions, from running, walking, cycling, it gives you that sound, the only area I think it does fail is listening to podcasts, they do not come across well outside wearing these but to be honest I don't tend to listen to podcasts when I am working out so for me it does not bother me. I bought it in orange and so far the battery power that is stated is correct it does last that length of time and it is so easy to use and put on, I highly recommend and will definitely be buying more from this BRAND as and when I need it , one last thing the connectivity has been great zero issues at all, the fit is nice and I got mine in standard, it is real value for money ,the desigin is really cool too and looks cool when out wearing it,.

Add it to cart only if you believe in open ear concept
I’ve been using it for one year now, honestly, I got addicted to it. People forgot how I used to look without it. Just keep in mind it’s an open ear concept, so don’t expect a crazy bass that blows your head. It’s amazing for the idea, a headphone that will make you smart, being on your phone watching reels but still listening to the gossips your friends are talking, is a skill

Awesome!!
Best thing I’ve bought in ages - so happy with them! Sound quality is really good, they are light and comfortable, you can hear what’s going on around you. They are really good for phone calls too! Only gripe is more sound leakage than I expected.
