Strong Reliable Laser Print/Scan/Copy at a great price - Ricoh SP111SU
With laser printers becoming the norm for most households due to their lower printing costs, cheaper refills and now easy on the pocket prices, I decided to go in for this Ricoh SP111SU with eagerness. With Monochrome Print Scan & Copy, barring Color printing this printer lacks nothing in the features department for its price and class. Pros: A good performing Laser Printer. 1) The printer is compact when shut. It occupies as much space as my old HP inkjet, but does need reasonable space front/back when opened up for printing and paper feeding. 2) A bit slow to wake up from sleep, about 10-15 seconds. But once warmed up, its ready to go and prints documents at a good speed. 3) Ricoh supplies a big enough starter cartridge with toner with the initial shipment and I assume this will last quite a bit, hopefully about 1000 pages. 4) The refill toner is not too much at about 500/- a piece and is pretty affordable for home use. Consider once a year refills for moderate use. 5) The build Quality is just great, strong hinges, quality plastics, minimum noise and robust button feel. 6) Ricoh claims Jam-Free operation and so far its been..well..Jam Free. My old HP was always grabbing 3/4 pages at a times on bad days. Cons: I had an issue with the unit initially where it took about 5 mins to get warmed up and switch on for use, but since that one time I have had no problems at all. Its been a flawless performer and works like a charm. Ricoh Customer Service was quick to respond but since its been working normally, there was no follow up or any service issues to deal with. Overall pretty happy with this buy, its priced better than some of its rivals and I see no obvious cost cutting or lack of features to justify paying more for essentially the same function of a Monochrome PSC printer. I hope this review has been Helpful to you.

Best for Home and Office Use
First of all, I would like to appreciate the efforts put in by the seller and Amazon for delivering the product in perfect condition and for the perfect packaging. Now coming back to the product: Richo is a well-known brand when it comes to printers which hardly compromises with the quality of their products and try to keep the cost as low as possible. Here are some Pros and Cons of this product. These are listed below: Pro 1. The number of printouts is high, you can easily print more than 300-400 prints on high settings without refilling the toner 2. The printer is fast and takes up to 10 seconds (from turning it on to taking a print out) 3. The heat up time is low 4. IT's compact and doesn't take too much space 5. It is very affordable. Printers with similar functionality can cost Rs 10,000 or more from brands like HP, Samsung etc 6. The prints are super sharp 7. Has a separate function button for ID prints 8. Scans are fast and crisp 9. Has a quick release button which allows you to remove stuck papers easily without opening the printer itself. 10. Comes with 2 years warranty 11. Value for money Cons 1. The build quality is average, the printer is mostly plastic 2. The paper is inserted from the back which makes it prone to feeding in multiple sheets at a time 3. Two side printing is cumbersome and is not recommended Overall The Richo SP 111SU Mono Multi-Function Laser Printer is perfect for the price. The printer is lightweight and costs a lot less compared to other brands like HP, Samsung, and Canon. You get much more functionality for the amount you pay and is ideal for home and office use. However, if you print more than say 300-400 pages per day or 1000 per week you should either go for variants higher than this one or look for heavy duty printers. Alternatives for this printer can be: Brother HL-1211W Compact Monochrome Laser Printer with Wireless Capability (10k+) Canon LaserShot LBP 2900B Monochrome Laser Printer (7k) Ricoh SP210SU Black and White Laser Printer (7k) Hope this review was helpful :)

TERRIBLE PRODUCT, EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Ugh, bought this stupid thing and Ricoh apparently does not provide/make a driver that works for it in Windows 10. I assume they are offloading them as older units and don't care if customers complain or not, because I have emailed customer service 5 times setting out the specifics of the issue (10 hours spent now trying to find the driver on line or some kind of workaround); their only response is an annoyingly cheery message telling me how much they appreciate my business! And that a technician will be calling me shortly!! Shortly my a**, it has been four days since they started sending messages saying that, still no call. No other way of reaching them either (chat line or the like), they give you a phone and email option which say the same thing, that a technician will be in touch soon. In the last email I sent, I put "PLEASE EXPEDITE TO MANAGEMENT", hoping that someone could break the logjam. The response? You guessed it, a technician will be contacting me soon. Not sure if the customer service rep who dealt with the email binned it and replied with the stupid universal response or if management did, but either way Ricoh seems to have no one at the wheel in customer service, at the same time selling unusable products. Although I guess if you are selling something useless it is smart to set up a customer service department which never answers and thus never has to refund. What a bunch of shysters. I am a lawyer while in the US, there is no question that this would be categorized as an unfair business practice (allowing recovery of excess damages). Here it seems as if customers have very little recourse except to warn other potential buyers NOT TO BUY THIS PRINTER, OR INDEED, ANYTHING FROM RICOH. Luckily I bought the extended warranty, so will turn this over to those folks to either get this fixed or refunded. In any event, please think carefully about the information above if you are buying. Despite the complaints about Ricoh customer service in the reviews, I took a chance and regret it. I hope you don't.

Best, affordable and low cost laser printer
From delivery to installation it took 3 days. Ricoh customer care is quite responsive and that is impressive to note. The printer built quality is excellent it's better than what other competitors offer at this rate however there are hardly any laser printers available at this rate. There is hardly any sound while the printer is doing its job. It's quick and responsive. Scanning is fast as well. The ID function and the light to dark adjustment functions are good on the go. The print quality is very good considering my need for home usuage. As informed to me by the installation personnel the toner that we get along with the printer initially prints 500 - 600 pages and then needs a refill which is available either by calling on Ricoh customer care or on Amazon India. And once refilled it can print up to 1500 - 1600 pages. The toner can be refilled twice or thrice depending on how well the printer is maintained. So overall very much satisfied with the printer, quality, customer service and its low cost!

Best value for money. You should for it.
Xerox plus print at this price range. I think it is best option for average users. It is best option for domestic purpose. It is Monochrome laser printer. It is little bit noisy and slow but overall best package at this price range. I am satisfied with this product. ๐๐๐

Superb printer even for home use
My main purpose to this printer was its scanner. And I wanted a good printer too. Because I had to digitalise my family photos -- I had about 500 of them. Then I searched a scanner and found that a scanner costs 3000/- and an inkjet multi function printer costs 2700/- How can this be? This is kind of a business strategy of the companies that produce inkjet printer. First put the lowest price possible. The cartridges get used up and then the printer requires new cartridges. AND without replacing the cartridges you can't use those printers -- even the scanning function. By the way the colour laser printers are very expensive around 20,000 in price. Then I just searched for a monochrome multi-function laser printer and found this. I didn't want to spend very much money and the money I spend should be put in useful printer - not those which require a cartridge change every now and then. This pretty much is a great printer. Scanning is also good at 600x600 dpi this means if you scan a 4" by 6" photo you'll get a pretty good resolution of 2400 x 3600 (4" x 600dpi = 2400 pixels; 6" x 600dpi = 3600 pixels). Text prints are of good contrast and graphics are also great. Haven't dealt with customer care. Overall a good printer, except that replacement toner cartridges for this printer are not easily available.

Exceptionally good.
Value for money, installation of drivers is easy for Wndows. I could print, scan and copy in Windows. I could not load drivers for ubuntu as drivers not included in cd provided. Print quality is very good. Installation manual is not adequate. Overall experience is good. I recommend the product for home/ home office use. I purchased for Rs 3290/_ on 31 Dec 2015 but on 7Jan 2016 printer is available for 2990/- and price changed to 7200/-. so constantly look for the best offer. I hope Ricoh will make toner cartridge at Price point around 600/_ so every one benefit. Here is how one can make the printer work for Ubuntu. download folder " ricoh-sp100-master.zip" from github (search on net). extract the files to desktop. read install file proceed as instructed. Your printer is up for printing, however it is slow and slight variation is alignment (test page) Imp: you need to login as root, >>>what shall one do if he/she is only administrative permission? for every command in terminal prefix sudo <<<<<<

Perfect and Best Multifunction Printer
Most of us purchase Inkjet printers due to its lower cost, but later we feel sorrow due to its running cost due to its dry or logging features. This printer can completely satisfied the above persons. Compact in size, Easy setting buttons for quality. Jam free paper feeding, sufficient print speed and also quality printing. When taking photocopy of a damaged Ration Card / Voter ID; it gives photo quality xerox copies. The running cost will be competitively to the high yield inkjet printers due to its easiest refillable process. The Printer came with 1000 pages yield cartridge, its drum life is 10,000 pages. Ricoh provides refill toner pouch for Rs.500/- which yields 2000 pages, also some compatible toners also available in the market for Rs.300/- and also it gives 2000 pages print out. Really it is a Perfect and Best Printer and Copier. But considering the scan quality, it gives some dodges, not clear images.
