Lovely colour, it has a nice sturdy look and feel of quality in the hand. The writing experience is excellent, lovely smooth flow, the pen is nicely balanced, and there's a satisfying sense of heft and durability. Not that much shorter than a normal pen, but enough to fit comfortably in a pocket.

Absolutely love this pen. Smooth writing and ink flow amazing. I am lefthanded and it works so well. The pen has a lovely, balanced weight and is comfortable to hold. You do not have to "press" down on nib as it all works beautifully. It definitely is better for the handwriting too! Worth the price. Thank you Scriveiner. Oh yes, it comes in a beautiful box with two extra ink cartridges as well as an ink converter and easy to understand imstructions. Nib is medium, which I prefer, but I think you can order one with a fine nib or even order extra nibs.

I bought the luxury EDC 'short' pen. It arrived very well packaged reflecting a quality much higher than the £50.00 paid. I chose Matt Black and gold. Looks expensive, reflecting a pen that may cost 5 times as much. Nib is excellent quality and smooth. The finish of the pen is first class and it's a pleasure to use. I wanted an extra fine nib as it was supplied with the choice of only medium or fine. An email to Scriveiner was answered on a Sunday giving me buying options for a nib. I bought the addition nib from a third party recommended, and received a follow up email from Scriveiner asking if I had manged to secure the nib purchase and whether I was happy. Excellent after sales service!

Top quality and good value, ideal for special gift

So good I brought both (rollerball & fountain) They look as good as they write, great attention to detail, they have a lovely weight to them but still not heavy, the weight reflects the solid quality of these pens, people who know pens will notice the parts which make these pens superior. Schmidt nib and Schmidt ceramic roller ball refill (re branded scrivener) but they are Schmidt which are extremely high quality, a German company who produce the highest quality. Don’t be fooled because scrivener isn’t a super well known make yet , they will be and the prices will rocket, scrivener is definitely a hidden gem, Don’t keep thinking about it, get it 😁

As a lover of fountain pens I was tempted to buy this EDS fountain pen, my normal and fav pens being a sheaffer Targa a pen i have used for most of my life, finding a modern replacement for this classic has been hard however wanting to have a pen that i could carry in a pocket brought the EDC style with a screw cap to my attention. After much reading and searching I was drawn to this pen for the simple but elegant style and the matt red finish. I was impressed with the presentation box, the simple but functional looks were classic. The pen is a good weight, feels smooth, the clip has a good spring to it, the threads are not sharp and it only takes 2 turns to remove the cap and then 2 to post it with the clip lined up well with the nib. I used the included ink to test the pen and was very happy to see the ink flow with little effort, after a page of writing the nib bedded in well to my hand with smooth flow and ease of direction change. For me i need to have the cap posted to feel comfortable in my hand when writing ( I do have a big hand ). I think if your after a good quality affordable pen to carry in a pocket or a bag then this is a good one, the ink flows every time i write, the pen looks good and always attracts comments. I will certainly be getting my wife one too.

For those who wonder what a "pocket pen" is, it's a pen where the cap is fastened halfway down the barrel, making the pen you write with smaller than with the usual position. So, it needs to be sturdily made: a cheaper pocket pen I bought just collapsed. What is very pleasing about this pen is that holding it gives a very nice "feel"; combined with a good ink flow, this makes writing a pleasure. I specified a medium nib which made my writing look nicer. Plus points are that it comes with a glass converter and two cartridges. Some expensive makes are irritating as they give you one miserable cartridge and when you shell out, even then the convertor is a miserable piece of plastic. And in addition, the service really is no quibble. The cap came to bits some months after I bought the pen and I couldn’t figure out how to reassemble it. I emailed Scriveiner at 8 minutes past 5pm and got an immediate reply. By half past 5 I was told a replacement would arrive on Saturday August 2nd. It actually arrived on Thursday July 31st. Excellent service!

I am so happy with my Scriveiner fountain pen. It is solid, flowing, and reliable. I often get comments about it, and when friends write with it, they love what it does. This pen may be the best I've ever had. The pen is great, but the customer service at Scriveiner is by far the most helpful, genuine, and empathetic contact with any business I've ever had.

My first fountain pen was the Kaweco Sport. I loved the compact style and the ability to throw it in my pocket and not worry about it leaking. Last year, I was starting a new phase in life and thought I would commemorate it with a nicer pen, found this one and it fit the bill nicely. It wrote smoothly, was balanced, looked classy, and had some heft while keeping the compact size and the security to carry it the same as my favorite Kaweco. While my pen collection grew, I kept this one as my daily driver and it never left my notebook. From the beginning I noticed that when I would twist off the cap it would slightly open the ink chamber as well, I thought it was user error, but it kept occurring. Last month I contacted the company to see if there was a quick fix to keep this from happening. With in 10 minutes, a representative contacted me back, diagnosed the issue and started the process of sending me a new pen. My new one works perfectly and has no signs of the same issue. I love the pen, but this company has done even better standing behind their products. Additional Thoughts: In the pen forums, I have seen many saying that this is just a repackaged and marked up cheap pen and to just get the Hongdian at half the price. While they are similar, they are completely different. I do like the rubber ring at one of the threads to keep it better sealed, but otherwise, the EDC is a much petter pen. This became clear when I accidentally washed a Hongdian in my pocket the other day and when I pulled the it out, my hand was covered in ink. Water was dripping from the finial and when I opened it up and blew into the cap, I found out it was not air tight. I tried this on my Scriveners and they didn't budge a bit. I feel much more comfortable carrying these on a daily basis.

Great pen

Schon seit längerer Zeit habe ich diesen Füllfederhalter im Auge, nun habe ich mich dazu entschlossen ihn zu kaufen. Er kommt in einem sehr ansprechenden, wertigen Karton mit einer weiteren Papierumhüllung. Der Füller sitzt auf einem Kissen im Karton, darunter findet sich noch ein Päckchen mit zwei Standard Tintenpatronen. Ausserdem ein Poliertuch, welches auch nötig ist, der Füller ist ein Magnet für Fingerabdrücke. Ich habe die Version als EDC in Gold gewählt, während das Grundmaterial Messing ist, sind sowohl die Feder als auch der ganze Füllfederhalter 24 Karat vergoldet. Die EDC Version ist etwas kürzer, kann trotzdem auch ohne Kappe komfortabel benutzt werden. Die Kappe ist sowohl unten als auch oben geschraubt. Es braucht eine Idee mehr als eine Umdrehung zum öffnen. Er ist einfach wunderschön und auf Hochglanz poliert! Er liegt mit fast 50g schwer in der Hand. Durch die Riffelung am unteren Teil rutschen die Finger nicht ab.. Er kommt mit einem bereits installierten Konverter, so kann man alternativ zu den Patronen auch Tinte aus einem Fass verwenden. Als Feder wird eine Schmidt Feder verwendet, ich habe die Version F (Fein) genommen. Das Befüllen des Konverters erfolgt wie üblich durch drehen. Es funktioniert gut, man sollte aber bis der Feed richtig gefüllt ist mehrmals etwas Tinte ansaugen und dann wieder nach unten drehen damit am Ende mehr Tinte in den Konverter kommt. Verwendung: Solange man sehr langsam schreibt, erhält man ein sauberes Schriftbild, wie auf der ersten Schriftprobe zu sehen. Es dauert jedoch am Anfang immer. Man muss den ersten Buchstaben fast immer nachzeichnen. Die Feder ist etwas kratzig und man erhält deutliches Feedback. Schreibt man schneller, oder z.B. bei einer Unterschrift grösser, wird das ganze jedoch richtig kratzig und die Tinte kommt nicht schnell genug nach, es entstehen viele Aussetzer. Hier hat mich die Schmidt Feder massiv enttäuscht, da habe ich schon Füller unter 10€ erlebt, die es schaffen wesentlich weicher und ohne Aussetzer zu schreiben. Fazit: Wirklich hochwertig verarbeiteter, edler Füllfederhalter, die Feder ist jedoch für ein flüssiges Schreiben eher ungeeignet, evtl. erhält man mit einer Feder in M ein flüssigeres Schriftbild. UPDATE: Hier ein update vom 11.12.2025 Nach meiner Rezension hat mich, ohne dass ich mich dort gemeldet hätte, Scriveiner bei mir gemeldet. Der Kundenservice ist wirklich herausragend. Mein Problem wurde sofort richtig verstanden und ohne wenn und aber eine Ersatzlieferung veranlasst. Diese kam heute an und was soll ich sagen... Dieser schreibt wirklich wunderbar weich ohne jeden Aussetzer, eine Schriftprobe habe ich als letztes Foto angehängt. Ich bedanke mich hier noch einmal bei Scriveiner für einen Kundenservice, der seinesgleichen sucht!. Meine Bewertung habe ich aufgrund der neuen Umstände von 3 auf 5 Sterne erhöht und kann den Füllfederhalter uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

Einfach schön, sehr stabil und weich beim schreiben. Ich bin mir diesen Einkauf sehr zufrieden.
