The pump runs quiet, has good pressure and I am very satisfied with this pump. This pump has no issues except operator errors. Leaks and such is just poor installation. I am rating this pump after it was set up and being used. I believe that if you purchase this pump, set it up right that you will be satisfied as well.

2 months of use and leaking everywhere. Just enough time not to be returned. Definitely don’t waste your time with this pump. It’s junk.

Great little pump. I bought it to boost pressure on my sprinkler system. It worked perfectly. Maintains constant pressure and allows my sprinkler heads to water consistently. The auto start and stop with water flow is exactly what I needed.

My handyman installed it and told me it was missing a couple of 1” washers. We had to run out to nearby plumbing supply and they gave it to us. The problem with this machine is that it runs too high and we are installing a pressure reduction valve. My pipes are only 1/2-3/4”. What was interesting was when we ran the booster high for a few minutes, it cleared the pipes and I now am getting the 40 psi coming from the city pipes. Now I don’t even have to turn it on at all! I now can take a decent shower instead of the lame dribble I put up with since I moved here 4 years ago. I do turn it on once in awhile if I find more pressure is needed for the task at hand. It’s a good machine, I am told, made in Japan instead of China.

We started off with 25psi and now after install we are at 85-90 psi. We will have to install a pressure regulator to lower pressure. The install was easy. We discarded the supplied sealing washers and used several wraps of Teflon tape with a thick application of Tru-Blu Pipe Thread Sealant with PTFE. There were no leaks with unit. I believe the bad reviews are from poor installs. The unit runs quiet for a water pump and we could not be happier.

This pump leaks big time. Switched from thread tape to plumbers thread seal. Added rubber gaskets, now I’m finding drips on the main casing. No less than 10 trips to Lowe’s/Home Depot trying to stop the leaks.

If you purchase, be mindful. It’s important to remove the cover and check all wiring connections. Mine failed and upon inspection I found the wiring to have arched and melted. Because it was past my return date I attempted to repair, fingers crossed. The pump will help sprinklers to operate properly, but it does not pull very much volume. Some pumps I have used are much better at boosting both pressure and volume, but they are much more expensive. You’re getting what you pay for with this pump.
