Pro Aluminium Deep Hole Construction Pencil Kit – 6 Leads

The plastic version of this pencil is OK, but if you want a pencil that will last a lifetime this will be perfect for you. It's well made, have a bit of weight to it, can use the pencil while it's still in the holster and the sharpener works well. The stopper that stops the pencil from rolling away works if you place the pencil down gently, but if you don't do it gently the pencil can roll away. Overall it's a great pencil and is worth the money considering you get a holster with 6 refills included.

1st 1 of these i bought broke within a week the click bit at the top came out and was unrepairable so I send it back amazon send a new 1 out next day but that 1 only last 3 or 4 days and came apart in the middle this time and is unrepairable. I've used the plastic version of this for 2 years and had no problem at all with them apart from losing them which is my own fault to summerise people shoulder waste their time on this product the plastic version is much cheaper and more reliable only problem with that 1 is the pencil becomes loose in the holder after time hence the reason I've lost a few but none have ever broken on me but I would recommend buying that 1 or the ox version of it. Do not my the metal version on the tracer pencil!

This deep hole construction pencil is very well designed and ideal for site work. The long, slim tip makes it easy to mark through deep or awkward fixing points, and the aluminium body feels robust and built to last.The included replacement leads are a nice bonus and the pencil performs reliably in daily use. It’s comfortable to hold and gives precise markings on a variety of surfaces. Overall, an excellent quality construction pencil that’s well suited to professional use.

Bought as I needed more lead for my non Pro - this is so much better quality. Just to note this is a different size to the non pro as it's slightly bigger so you cant use the non pro grey holder with the pro - not really an issue.

Great pencils only small issue is it falls out of the holder easily if not upright could do with a slight friction or clip on the holder.

The deep hole design makes marking accurate and easy, even in tight or awkward spaces. It writes smoothly and clearly on most materials, and the included replacement leads and site holsters are a great bonus. A very practical and reliable tool for construction and trade work. Highly recommended.

First impressions were great nice weight good construction, I was made up for this upgrade. But I have to report this is falling apart, for the most expensive pencil you will buy in construction and it being the pro model you expect this to last but it didn’t. I have always loved the tracer products so was made up to invest in this, really wish I hadn’t I feel that the standard plastic ones last longer and cost no where near as much. Real let down, I also purchased the other two in this line and the sharpener off the thick one snapped off in my pocket and the push button on the top of that one and the super fine both fell off and now are unusable, what a waste of nearly £100. Save your self the headache. I reached out to tracer to see if I could get some parts that I could purchase but didn’t even get a reply

Really good quality pencil.

Have had a few of the original tracer pencils and they were great.Got this in January 26 and after a few months it started to act up. Mechanism kept jamming. Now it is completely useless only 6 months old.Looks great but no good for construction

Awesome quality

Currently the best automatic carpenter pencil I have found. Having tried a few different brands/off brands. So far this is by far my favorite. There is a competitor that is releasing almost a clone of this for a fraction of the price in November 2026.Pros: Stays in sheath with a nice friction fit, can be used when in sheath, cap design does not encourage it being randomly pulled off, durable and a nice weight without being overly heavy.Cons: ExpensiveNeither here nor there: Technically you can sharpen it while the sheath is in your tool bag… but then you’ll be putting all that graphite into your bags… def a preferred location though compared to under the cap.
