Great value! My son loves Mario, and found these at a second-hand store. It was much cheaper to buy an entire new set on here versus anywhere else.This was easy for a 6-year-old to put together, and Lego includes great instructions where anyone can put this together (ex. grandparents who have never played with Legos). You are going to get some different components to the set, but it’s pretty small overall where you could travel with this.

My son loves this set so much. It’s definitely his favorite. There are so many add ons you can buy that work with the Mario scanner. He’ll be getting the Luigi set next. Very cool and creative. Well made.

I didn't want to spend $40-50 on a set with so few pieces, but it went on sale and became a nice Christmas present for my boys. I also like that you can get Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, etc. (sold separately) to complete and expand the set. Then when we played with it, I realized that the Mario character has a lot of appeal and added value in how it interacts with the other LEGO pieces in the set...What a neat product and clever use of licensed characters.My kids have asked for more sets but I wait for special occasions due to the price.

Such a cool toy. Fun to build, fun to play with. My 7 year old enjoys the interactive aspect!

My eight year old son loves Mario. He really enjoyed putting this together and playing with the Mario to make the different sounds. The characters look good. It kept him busy for about an hour and a half, and now he is displaying the characters in his room.
