Missing chapters
A textbook should not be missing pages in the middle of it...Edit: I actually had other physical issues with this textbook as well. Avoid this book like the plague. On the subject of the material. The examples really like to set up a scenario then throw details at you that you would normally assume are rational to neglect for the sake of a simple example. This is not from the book, but something along the lines of, "Assume you are heading east from Chicago. Is it a reasonable assumption to assume you could wind up in New York instead of Los Angeles?"At this point any reasonable person would say yes. The book will then go on to say something like, "No, because you are not guaranteed that the driver would not drive their car onto a ship, which takes them to the west coast of the USA, and they continue driving east off the ship and into LA."As a reader I often thought, right... but that's something you would assume is not going to happen because why on earth would anyone take ships into account for the scenario you just set up?I also found the book would get into sections of very dense mathematics which would go on for pages and be very difficult to follow. I just didn't find that to make the material easily digestible.

Chapter 11 is printed twice, with the exact same content and page numbering. Chapter 12 is completely missing, as is part of chapter 13.
