So far so good, impressive for the price
Not properly installed this yet but just tested it in the garage on the workbench. No issues with getting it fired up and producing plenty of heat. It isn't super quiet but not bad at lower heat settings and it is mainly fan noise as you go higher. The LCD display has a very narrow viewing angle but at this price I guess that sort of compromise is to be expected. I have been monitoring it carefully for CO production whilst testing, obviously at the moment the exhaust is in the garage with me, which it won't be when properly installed. As you would expect, using a decent hand-held CO monitor, during warm up and cool down, combustion is incomplete and it does produce a fair amount of CO from the exhaust. None from the hot air vent as you would hope. However, I was amazed to find that, once fully warmed up, the exhaust appears to be producing 0ppm CO which indicates perfect combustion! I left it running at 50% output for an hour in the enclosed space, and when I came back to check, I was unable to get a CO reading anywhere. I even tested the meter with a piece of burning paper as I was starting to doubt it! I do intend to run the exhaust through a radiator of some sort before exiting outside as there is lots of heat there that will otherwise be wasted. Will be interesting to see if that extension to the exhaust causes a change in the burn quality... Overall though, this seems great value for money.

Happy result
Update 30-10-24. The company were very quick to respond and resolved my issues with the heater. A return and refund was agreed. The heater in question may have been a faulty unit, as their reviews for it are very good. Shutdown by itself 3 times in first 6 hours of use. Shows F2-E6 codes each time. The unit smoke from the air intake duct when this happens too. I bought it in September, first use this weekend of October my return window has closed to return it to Amazon, so now have to try and get Gearleader accepted a refund or return.

Very disappointed
After receiving the little heater and unpacking all of the items within the box, I struggled to read the manual (even with my glasses on) as the writing was tiny. As soon as I wired the heater up to my converter, my converter was shutting down. When I disconnected the heater, the converter came back to life. I tried connecting the heater to a BOSH leisure battery, which was also supported by a trickle charger (Battery voltage was confirmed at 13.2v). I then heard a pop, only to discover that the 20 amp fuse had blown. To cut a long story short, After confirming that the converter was set to the right voltage, blowing a few more fuses in the testing stages and testing a friends heater with my converter (Which worked fine). We also changed the LED screens (which worked on my friends heater). We confirmed that the heater was faulty. After sending the heater back and replacing it with Amazons recommendation (Velpax diesel heater). I wired it up and hay presto, no problems what so ever. The LED screen cam straight on and once I had primed the fuel line, it fired up straight away. The best part is that this new heater was only £67.99, where as I paid £119.99 for the Gearleader heater. I am now happy with the heater I have bought and I cannot believe how little electricity and fuel it uses for the output of heat it produces.

Excellent heating solution
Very happy with this. We bought a cheaper version first, but it was more trouble than it was worth. This one works well and produces lots of heat with no noise. My other half has plumbed the exhaust to go outside and is very happy. His workshop is huge - a whole barn - and it keeps him happily warm. He's tried it with diesel but is confident he can use heating oil as an alternative and save even more money. Every alternative we looked at was expensive and/or noisy. This is a brilliant solution
