I've been using the St. Joseph Missal for years
It's amazing how fast the liturgical year flies by. Time again to order the new Missal, which arrived today.I've been using the New Saint Joseph Sunday Missal for years now, and always look forward to the new edition coming out, starting with the beginning of Advent each year. What about you? Perhaps you can't attend Mass because of health issues or you're homebound. Perhaps you choose not to attend. This missal makes for a great (albeit imperfect) substitute to read on Sunday mornings during the time you would otherwise be attending Mass, or even read along if you are watching a Mass online. This is not a large book -- it's compact, even though it is 672 pages long -- and has a sturdy and beautifully pictured cover. (This edition's cover is especially colorful.) And you know what -- perhaps you are attending Mass. You may find that this missal can be easily carried to church, placed in a handbag, or maybe even carried in a gentleman's back pocket. In any case, it is not bulky and it's easy to deal with. The price can't be beat, for, as always, there is a lot packed into this little volume. In its first section it covers the complete Order of the Mass, the Introductory Rites, the Liturgy of the Word, the Eucharistic prayers, the Communion Rite, prefaces, and solemn blessings. Then, of course, the particular Sunday Masses (and Holy days), with the scriptural readings, responsorial psalms, communion antiphons, etc. (You flip back and forth between all of this each Sunday -- you are guided in the Missal itself, so it's not a problem, and nothing like flipping around that you have in the Liturgy of the Hours!) There are also 63 hymns (12 less than last year's edition, 20 fewer than the year before that), at least half of them have musical notation, and there are quite a few additional short prayers. Also included: the Litany of Loreto, the Stations of the Cross, and the four Mysteries of the Rosary. Also the Rite of Penance, with all the steps, prayers of contrition, and suggested forms for the examination of conscience is retained in this edition. And NOTE: Although it says 2025, this book begins (as have others in the past, of course) with the first Sunday of Advent, which is on December 1st this year, 2024, and goes through the last Sunday of Ordinary Time, on November 23, 2025. So if you're going to purchase this Missal, make sure to buy it and get it in your hands before December 1st.

Very nice Sunday missal!
Perfet! Everything is laid out in order by date. Easy to use. There is a nice selection of prayers and the Stations of the Cross as well as the Mysteries of the Rosary are also included. There is even a section featuring hymns and Christmas carols. Some church missalettes can be difficult to use having to flip pages back and forth. This Sunday missal, which includes the Holy Days of Obligation, is great if you're visiting another parish church or when you are on travel. Nice size and very packable! Not flimsy. I purchase one every year. The price is quite reasonable for all that's contained in this missal!

Must-have for new Catholics
As a newer convert, I like having this book handy during mass. A lot of times, my church wouldn’t have enough copies of their books for the whole row. This helps me to pre-read, follow along, and annotate the content from mass. I feel a lot less lost when it comes to the recitations as well.
