Chomps Jalapeño Beef, Grass-Fed & Finished, 24ct, Protein Snack Stick

So look, I love a good slim jim. They were a staple of road trips, one of the snacks I always got in high school when we would all walk to hang out at the gas station like that was a cool thing to do. But to be honest, as an adult there was something about them that I couldn't stomach. I'm not even someone who gripes about processed food, or unhealthy ingredients, but I couldn't do it any more. ENTER THESE. Holy cow. The flavor blows slim jims out the water. Especially this flavor (although I love them all) - the jalapeno flavor is perfect. Truthfully, it's barely spicy if that's what you are in to, but I don't need it to be spicy, and they are great for a kids snack because they aren't too spicy either. They are high in protein and definitely have better ingredients which is great. I usually have one before or after a good workout, get that protein in!! They are a little pricey, but they are a nice treat and a healthier snack, so I make the sacrifice. They also seem to be cheaper on Amazon which is good, because I will blow my budget if I keep buying these in singles at Trader Joes because I have no self control in the checkout line!

I like these more than the original flavor. Not too spicy. I've had other brands of jalapeño flavored beef sticks that get too spicy. Chomps does a great job of balancing it. I tend to eat one of these when I'm in a snacking mood to avoid binge eating other unhealthier foods (chips, sweets).

We love Chomps jalapeño beef sticks; however, was extremely disappointed to receive product that was two months past its expiration date. Not sure who is at fault here, Amazon or Chomps, but I was able to receive a refund quickly. My husband eats these things daily during his work day, so we buy them frequently. I’m not sure if I want to try again via the Amazon app or go back to buying it in-store locally where I can check the exp. dates. Beef products are too expensive to be selling expired product! Other than this issue, it is a great product!

I love these. As a person with t2d, these are few of the snacks I can have. I have been a subscriber for quite a while, and it's expensive, but if calculated, it's much less and much healthier than many other options
