ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought this as a gift for a 9-year-old who wants to become a pilot. He had been playing flight simulator games for almost a year now (X-Plane). So, what better birthday gift than a remote controlled-plane, right? I knew that a RC helicopter would not be something he would enjoy. First, one must clearly understand that each city may have laws that regulate where RC planes/helicopters can or cannot fly. So, be sure to operate this at a park where they are allowed. Some may require a "pilot" license. Second, unlike a helicopter, a plane requires a small runway for take off and landing. The plane was operable right out of the box and the controls took some getting used to, but once we had it figured out, we were able to perform some stunts (like flying it upside down for a few SHORT seconds -- this plane design does not lend for some flying positions). What amazed us was how FAST this plane goes! The only down side is that the battery only lasts for a few minutes (about 30 mins), but those minutes are worth while for the children who get to play with it. Although the plane felt light (and as a result, flimsy), it was relatively durable during the few times it landed hard (the boy did not yet know how to pull up the nose for a softer landing). I CAN imagine it potentially falling apart when hitting trees at specific angles and speeds, but for the price I paid, that would be expected by me. Overall, not bad of a plane. The boy is happy, and so is my wife and I. Hopefully, this will help support his dream in becoming a pilot.

Broke within 10 minutes doesn't work not fun battery life is super quick flight ability sucks it catches the least little bit of wind and it does not fly it flips over. It also likes to not take off when it's supposed to it's not the easiest thing to use either do not recommend this.

The toy is great and the customer service is too. Plane has good flight time, good controls, easy to learn and wasnt taken by the slight wind. Perfect for my young teen. We reached out through the contact info that comes with the plane about purchasing additional accessories and they were quick to reply and very helpful!

This RC plane works…sometimes. You need to know this plane needs zero wind- completely still, not even a 1 mph puff, to fly. If those conditions are met, you can attempt to fly if the throttle on the remote works well, which in my case it doesn’t. The issue is the first centimeter of throttle up movement switches the motors on to about 80% right away, with the remaining inch of throttle movement controlling the additional 20% of power. This makes it EXTREMELY hard to control. Because of the shape of this plane, it wants to flip-flop like a potato chip and stall in the air, because of the weight distribution and underpowered motors. Effectively, in order to gain altitude, you will need to have throttle full and the L-R direction joystick pinned to one side or the other to spiral up (in zero wind). There is no “gyro” control as advertised, and controlling this little plane is very frustrating for an adult, let alone a child. For this price point, spend just $20-$30 more for a single-prop with simple aileron control. They typically have a powerful enough motor and easier flight capabilities for beginners.

I received my plane and at first it wouldn’t pair with the remote. I notified the seller and they sent me a whole new plane. The new plane works really well. My first flight I got it stuck in a tree and had to use a slingshot led weight and fishing line to get it out. Even after sitting in the tree for a day it still flies. I have since flown it a few more times and it does pretty good. If it’s windy don’t fly it(that’s how I got it stuck in the tree) also make sure you’ve got a LARGE OPEN area to fly it. I have about 1.5 acres to fly mine and it seems small. I’d like to find a large field open field I Dont have to worry about trees or even making a turn as soon as I get it in the air. You will most likely loose the landing gear after a few crashes but I don’t take it off with landing gear. The tail broke at two places during one of my crashes 1. at the plastic area that screws it into the body of the plane 2. On the vertical piece about halfway to the horizontal tale I used the glue to fix the broken tail and will continue to put the tail back in the slot when it falls off because of the broken plastic piece. Over all this is a fun little plane and it does what it’s supposed to do. I don’t expect it to go on forever but we are enjoying it.

We love this! It flies much more easier Than any heavier drone we’ve had. Steers great! The only issue is the battery compartment is a bit of a challenge to access, which I get the small space to keep it light. I’m just afraid one day we’ll end up with a broken wire due to having to cram it in there. One battery didn’t work past one recharge, so that’s the only reason for a 4* rating. Otherwise my 11yr old would rate it a 6!

Super cool. The landing gear is VERY cheaply made. I suggest super glue when putting together also.

Plane is very durable made of foam . I’ve crashed it many times and haven’t had any issues that I couldn’t fix with the glue that was sent with the kit . I didn’t accidentally drop the controller and the thumb pad broke off . They promptly sent me a new kit to replace it with no issues ! Plane is a blast to fly , easily can get up to an hour of flying if you have both batteries charged . Controller has no problem with distance , I’ve flown it as far as I could see it with no problem. Motors are strong and you can gain altitude very quickly which is fun to kill the engines and pull up at last minute. This is my first rc plane and after a few flights I had the hang of it. Highly recommend!
