NeatiEase Adjustable DIY Magnetic Window Screen Max 60” x 48” Fits Any Size Smaller with White Frame Fiberglass Mesh

Arrived the same day, exactly as described. I've used this same package before on two basement windows last summer, they are still in perfectly good condition - no lifting of the strips, the adhesive attaching the magnetic strips is still in place; the mesh is good; and the only thing I've had to do is push the grooved strip back onto the magnet in one small area because the window frame is a little uneven. I attached these new ones quickly onto another basement window and then an upstairs bathroom window. Last year, I was able to do the basement ones by myself, they were a bit fiddly and awkward because I had to sit in a window well to do it, and the windows were very wide and short, but I managed it alone no problem. This time I had a helper and it was quick and painless. I doubt these are a 20 year solution, but to keep mosquitos and flies out, and my kitty in, they have been a great affordable and easy addition to some older screenless windows. (My cat sits on the window sill complaining that he can't get out, I'm sure if he headbutted it aggressively he could manage but the screen is enough of a deterrent that he hasn't attempted it in a full year for the ones I installed last summer.)

First, it works. Bugs stay outside, breeze comes inside. You can peel back the screen to open and close the window, then the screen snaps back into position, held via the magnetic strip. Hence, the 4-star overall rating. BUT... Installation is NOT easy: the white "clamping" track layer that holds the screen mesh in-place must be pressed into position with the world's strongest thumbs. Two grown men worked on this step for about 30 minutes, and we won't be bowling again soon. ALSO... the functionality of the screen is HIGHLY impacted by the configuration of window latches. Our window had 2 latches on the bottom, and we needed to cut the track material and screen to make room for these latches. Thus, the bottom of the screen was cut into 3 parts: a long strip in the middle of the two latches, and short strips on the outside on either latch. This made peeling back the screen tricky, and this is needed in order to open and shut the window. So, while the final product worked, it took a lot of effort to get it there, and it's still a bit wonky to use. But, so far, no bugs.

I was able to install this very quickly! It looks great and the instructions were easy to follow. The only thing was at the end it said to add these two clips - I didn’t see how that was possible considering you had already adhered it all to the frame. So I skipped that part. Other than that, great product. I’ll be doing another window using this kit.

The Magnetic Mosquito blind works well and is simple to install. Two Biggest problems I had, which made the job take twice as long, was the paper information sticky tape which which was wrapped around the magnetic tape was stuck to the tape so hard that it would not peel off easily, took me 15mins of peeling and cleaning before the Magnetic Tape was clean ready for use. Second problem, again the Magnetic Tape, was peeling off the Red backing tape. When trying to peel the red tape backing tape off, it would peel off completely, it was a real task to separate the Red peel tape and leave the sticky tape on the magnetic strip, again an additional 15mins to complete the peeling - Total job time 1 hour with 30 mins messing around. But!…product does work well when completed.

Follow the instructions, don't try to be creative. It is easiest to do it same way as instructed. Installation Tips: The corner brackets are tight, get the corn(s) off the magnet (one at a time) then squeeze it very hard with your fingers, it will go in.
