This was exactly what I was looking for. Cute, compact with great lighting all in a appealing package.

This little lamp is cute and bright enough to light up a small area enough to read by its light. However, mine is leaning to one side just a little. The base and the stem come already put together, so there's no way I can see to tighten it up to see if that stops the lean. It's hardly noticeable, so I'll deal with it. I just want to warn others before they buy it. So if you don't mind a slightly imperfect lamp, it's a good value for under $10. It comes with a bulb and it's easy to attach the lampshade.

size ands durABILITY JUST RIGHT. SUFFICIENTLY STYLISH THAT MY ROOMATE DOES NOT HASSLE ME ABOUT IT. wORKS JUST FIND TO ELIMINATE THE HAZARD OF MID-NIGHT RAMBLINGS. AS AN ASIDE, THE PACKAGING FOR SHIPMENT WAS VERY WELL THOUGHT OUT AND CLEVER. NO DAMAGE, WORKS GREAT.

They are small and cute just the right size for my bedside charging nightstand.

This small lamp took about two minutes to get from box to nightstand so very easy set up. It is nice looking (I ordered black with black shade) and the three light settings which operate by pull chain provide good light for bed time reading no matter which light setting is used. It also provides enough light to navigate a room in the middle of the night without turning on a ceiling light. It is very lightweight but I have yet to knock it over in the night like some reviews suggested would happen. This is very sufficient to use in a small to moderate size bedroom or on a desk.
