This basket makes a hug’h’ difference. I’ve heard plenty about IMS filters making a difference but it’s really true. With the new basket, I don’t have channeling issue I had with a cheaper basket, and the whole process just feels elevated. Im not refined enough to exactly say what changed in the taste, but it noticeably tastes better also. Looking at IMS filters on Amazon, I noticed and was initially worried that my random assortment of tampers, distributors, etc from different companies wouldn’t fit. I don’t have any of these issues with this basket, so you can rest assured on this version. All in all, a very happy buyer, and definitely worth the 20 odd quids that I spent on this.

Too small for the rated 51 mm, when used with other tools/parts of other brands rated also at 51 mm. For instance, a bit loose in the portafilter, and then the tamper does not fit inside. Managed to use it with a smaller tamper, but the coffee quality was not noticeably better than with the basket I already had, which costed four times less. Not a good value for money.

Got this after the oem basket on my machine was not cutting it. This basket fit perfectly and helps make it easy to dial in your espresso.

Wow—Amazing shots when combined with my Picopresso! The precision holes in this high performance basket actually do make a big difference in flavor (I was a little skeptical). The very slight, tiny bit of bitterness in my favorite beans is almost completely gone, and suddenly the caramel and chocolate notes are much more noticeable with a hint of berries. Great, worth every dine! Highly recommend! But for Picopresso you will need a new 51mm funnel and tamper to use this basket. I already had them. So no-brainer for me, but others should factor in that additional cost if they don’t already own these specific 51mm tools.
