Solar charging a Ring 3 Video Doorbell
Works very well in sunlight and keeps the battery just under 100% .

Pointless item
This item just supposedly prolongs battery life! You still have to take it off the wall and charge in the house but now instead of 2 screws you now have 4 fiddly screws to content with which makes this a pointless item?Had it plugged in now to my ring, for 4 days and if anything it has drained my ring battery faster than it normally would.It say on the ring its hardwired and the battery icon says full with charging and thats about all it does look elsewhere. I will be sending this one back, value for money not worth it avoid.Update charged my battery on my ring to 100% , 5 hours later down to 93% it is confirmed it drains the battery, the ring doorbell is new aswell used to last about 3/4 weeks at this rate 10daysUpdate 2The battery lost all its charge within 8 days ring camera was on minimum setting for least battery drain!So i cam confirm it does drain the battery

Absolutely crap. Drained battery within 4 days. Doesn’t charge bell at all.Waste of time and money

Not compatible with Ring doorbell 2nd gen.
So it seems I’ve found out the hard way that the ring doorbell 2nd gen is not the same as the ring doorbell 2.Even though this has been correctly installed and been in full sun for the last few days the battery has unfortunately gone from 35% to 34%.To be fair the ring doorbell 2nd gen isn’t specified as being compatible and I can confirm it’s not.The panel is adjustable and appears to be well made and can be easily angled. It’s waterproof and comes with a good length cable.I can only base my review on the quality of the build as I was unable to test it fully.I hope you find my review helpful.

A Solar Solution for the Long Haul – 5 Stars!
The 10FT cable gives plenty of flexibility for positioning. The IP66 waterproof rating is a bonus, as it handles the British weather without a hitch. My only gripe is the app's lack of a battery indicator, but seeing the battery level increase after an hour is reassuring enough. Overall, it’s a fantastic addition for anyone looking to save time on charging and maintenance.
