Awesome game
A bit short, but worth it.shame there is not a 2nd game. Capcom had some excellent concepts here. enjoyed playing and finishing it.

Does not deserve bad reviews!
Sure dark void has no multiplayer and sure it only takes 6-7 hours but you know what? The game is FUN! At full retail price this game could be questionable but for such a low price its really quite good value. Whilst the middle section of the game gets a bit dull the general game has breakneck action and throws in some unique gameplay element like vertical combat and JETPACKS!!! all of which are seemless and you can easily flow from one to another. For such a low price buy dark void, you'll have a lot of fun and enjoy playing with some mechanics never used before in gaming. If the game had a slightly deeper story and multiplayer it would easily be 4-5* material.

Sadly a big disappointment
Capcom made sure everyone knew the team behind the excellent Xbox 1 title Crimson Skies was behind Dark Void, but if you are a fan of that game (as I was) then get ready for disappointmet when you play Dark Void. The game is essentially split into two parts, one is a weak Gears of War clone, and the other is a less fun and very shallow version of Crimson Skies. The former really is weak, with identikit enemies taking way too many shots to kill, ugly environments, and very repetetive gameplay. The latter is sadly a disappointment too, and basically revolves around following your target crosshair to kill wave after wave of, again, identikit enemies. The game rarely looks anything other then poor right across the board, and the voice acting (Nolan North, YET again) also feels far too familiar and predictable. As Amazon are virtually giving this away now you may be tempted to pick it up, but my advice would be to give it a miss. With so many top tier games on both platforms out over the coming months I'd just wait for those instead.

Pretty decent game
Having viewed some gameplay on youtube and looking for a game with some rather easy achievements i found dark void, i went in not expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised, sure it does take some time to actually get the jet pack but once unlocked its some great fun, with some pretty large areas to fly around theres also lots of ufo's and other enemies to take on and even hijack, the campaign is split into 3 acts, the first is a cover shoot with basic enemies, the second act picks up and you take to the skies and the story deepens, finally the third act is split into 4 very epic missions, as a whole it should take about 6-8 hours to complete, the gameplay is strong and the controls relatively easy (takes a little while to get used to using the jet pack) so overall its a very good fun game that will keep you enjoyed.

A Nice Alternitive
This is a nice alternitive to the all the shooters and action games quite a different approach to gameplay and i was quite surprised of how good it was the levels are short graphics and gameplay good and the storyline is good as well

Fatally flawed
Bugs and a lack of polish turn this - occasionally high-flying - shooter into a generally dispiriting experience. I have a taste for mediocre games (I quite enjoyed the recent Wolfenstein, f'rinstance), but most people prefer their games to be good; those people should give this game a wide berth.
