Fantastic Scale
I bought this to replace my old kitchen scale after it went to the great recycler in the sky. I waffled a bit because I wanted a scale with a little more functionality but I didn’t need to be able to utilize Alexa with it. This was (luckily) the perfect choice. Accuracy is spot on (I was so impressed with the ease of use—seemed too good to be true—so I checked it against my husband’s calibrated shop scale). I can bake like a British Bake-Off winnner…okay, false statement. But maybe I could. I’d credit my win to the scale. I could probably create my own sourdough starter that LIVED! No. No, that’s definitely a bald lie. But I could get it started accurately. Unfortunately, it needs to be fed and this scale won’t do that part. #imminentdeath But it’s truly a great scale. It’s perfect for crafting, rounds out far enough any mistakes are unquestionably my own math errors, and it’s sleek enough to tuck away in a drawer without fuss. The “Tare” function couldn’t be easier, and it doesn’t turn off so fast you lose your spot if you need to cross the tiny kitchen to retrieve more ingredient(s). I highly recommend this scale for crafting, science, cooking/baking, weighing your parrot (true story) and just about anything else.

Lasted 2 good years!
I have used this scale a couple of times per week for the last two and a half years. No complaints at all on usage. Very easy to switch units of measurements, the scale is sensitive and accurate, detecting the weight difference even in tiny additions of food/liquid. The batteries (3 AAA) never needed replacing. I was always careful to only wash the scale portion of the unit. When it stopped turning on after about 2 years, I opened up the battery section and found it all corroded. As I said I've I cleaned as best as I could and am still getting sporadic uses out of it a few months later, but it's no longer reliable. As one of the cheaper options, I'm not going to dock a star (it was an awesome low cost option for a couple of years!) but this isn't a "lasts forever" purchase. I will be looking to replace with a waterproof unit. I don't have many devices that get battery corrosion so maybe the kitchen area is just slightly too humid for this one? Not sure. Highly recommend if you need something cheap!

Great scale at a great price!
I bought this scale for accurate measurements. Needing fractional grams, this scale fit the bill. What I really like about it, is that it comes in colors to fit your aesthetic or mood or what have you, but it is also functional and works well. The accuracy is there! I weighed several items, such as a dollar bill, knowing this should weigh exactly 1 gram and it was PRECISE! Whether I added a container beforehand to zero out or weighed it by itself, the weights were exact. The scale seems to balance itself too, if you have it in an uneven surface. And the scale colors offered are vibrant. Plus, the price can't be beat. I have nothing negative to say about this scale. Don't wait, just click "buy now" if you're on the fence! You won't regret it!

It's for weed.
I got this scale actually to weigh out CO2 in a paintball tank for use in my SodaStream. For that it does the job. Being able to tare out the weight of the tank itself and the option to measure in oz (which is how the tank is rated) means it does the job quite well. I'll also be able to use it for other kitchen uses. I can't complain. And I'd guess the accuracy is pretty good given its clear intended purpose. Let's talk about that. When I opened the shipping box to reveal the product packaging, the first thing that jumped out of me was the nugget pictured on the scale. IS THAT WEED? Then I saw the name. It's not the model name you see on this listing. Nor the model name on the scale itself. No. The packaging calls this the "420 Home and Garden Scale." Yeah okay. Now I should point out that the "nugget" on the scale as pictured is not in fact weed. As you'll read in the Q&A it is in fact kale, and I have confirmed with my "weed expert" (read stoner friend) it is definitely the wrong texture. But it's the wrong color for kale. They've clearly photoshopped this kale such that it can look like weed, but that they have plausible deniability. But let me tell you, just in case it wasn't clear enough to the customer what the scale is for, let's talk about the extras you get. This scale quite literally comes with two little baggies. My mind is unable to come up with any legitimate reason for which these would have been included. They just are. Now personally, I find this absolutely hilarious. It made me laugh a lot. I mean it's not every day you accidentally buy a weed scale. And it's a fully functional scale. So there's really nothing to complain about. But it's pretty undeniable that this scale is, in fact, for weed. Also note: it requires 3 AAA batteries not included Update: I had previously submitted an update in which I mentioned corrosion coming from inside unsure of why and calling this scale unservicable while dropping my rating from four stars to two. However, with some new discoveries, I must retract that. In fact, it is very easy to disassemble, IF you know how. No clips. No glue. Only screws. Four under the feet (I'm not a fan of this, but it's standard practice) and two INSIDE. Which requires taking the weighing plate off first. I thought this was glued on, making the entire thing unserviceable. But rather, there is a trap door hidden under the oval sticker on the back. It LOOKS like there's a screw hidden under the label directly, but when you stick a screwdriver through, you just hit plastic. This kinda gaslit me into thinking there was nothing there. But no, there totally is something. Once you know that it goes from serviceable to very easy to service. As well, the corrosion, while clearly not from the batteries, does not appear to be from anything inside either. No electrolytic caps or anything. Anyway, with this I go from condemning the design to praising it, because repairability is something we desperately need more of these days!

A “highly” recommended gadget that measures food... and other items.
So, my new food scale arrived in the mail today. You could say it comes “highly” recommended. So far it has been very easy to use and just requires 3 AAA batteries (not included). The “tare” button allows you to rather accurately subtract a container from the weight of the food itself, if needed. A pretty neat feature! The added fun that also came with this nifty kitten gadget was when my my bf saw the package sitting on the counter. His reaction: “What are you doing? Bagging weed and selling it in the neighborhood here all day? That looks like hashish on the box!” I took a closer look and it appears that my food scale might be pulling double duty, after seeing “420 Garden Scale” marked on the box. (Those don’t really look like kale chips, eh? ) When he saw that it came with two little silver Ziplock baggies (also pictured), that wasn’t really helping my cause, trying to explain that, no, I am not channeling my inner Cheech & Chong / Samson Simpson and peddling to the neighborhood. Anyway, this little kitchen scale may inspire me to write an unconventional Hallmark movie, “Hashish For the Holidays,” where a lonely Philly homemaker spreads holiday cheer and makes new friends when she turns her special baked goods into holiday treats that “spark” joy during troubled times. Call me, Hallmark! (Or High Times!) Let’s make this happen!

Good scale, excellent price
The main thing I like about this scale is the price, less than $10 in black. But that aside, I tested it with calibration weights at 100, 200 and 300 grams and found it to be perfectly accurate. The display is readable and the backlight is effective for reading in low light conditions. My only very minor gripe is that the scale uses the same button for both Tare and On/Off functions, and sometimes I accidentally turn the scale off when all I want to do is Tare what's on it. But this is an extremely minor annoyance since you just push the button again if it happens and the scale turns back on zeroed-out (0.00) which is the same as Tare anyway. I already had an accurate Polder kitchen scale with no backlight and bought this one because I needed a backlight, and the display and backlight on this model fulfills all my expectations on that account. The buttons have a good tactile feel and the scale cleans up easily after use.

Great Scale!
Purchased March 2020 from Sold by: Amazon.com Services LLC We were so pleased with this scale that this is the 2nd one we purchased in about 2 years. It went to a grandma who requested a scale to help her when feeding our diabetic son when he visits. We have owned a few scales over the last few years, but this is the only one we have kept. It is so easy to use! The display is large and bright! It has 2 buttons, a tear/on-off button and unit button. It will weigh grams, lbs, lbs.oz, only oz, and ml. The color is a really nice red. We also own the green and love the color! Takes 3 AAA batteries. I have also used it to weigh a few light weight packages and then compared them at the post office with their fancy scale and the were pretty close to the same weight. Very pleased! I would buy again when needed.

Best kitchen scale ever
I never thought I'd feel compelled to write a review for a kitchen scale but here I am. I've used multiple other scales I bought from Walmart and they were all terrible and inaccurate, seriously messed up my recipes. This scale promised to measure accurately up to half a gram, and it delivered. I made a batch of bagels and they came out perfectly unlike when I used a different brand. This will be my go-to scale from now on. If it ever breaks I'm getting another one of these!

Okay!
I was a bit skeptical when I opened the box, because the scale felt like a kid toy - plastic. However, it was worth it. The color matches well my others kitcheen tools. It has a convenient and cute size : when I cook, I won't have to make much room for it. I later bought the batteries, and it worked fine. The screen gets blue when on. The calibration of the 0 is functional. Just, don't move the scale or put it on unstable platform when on; otherwise, the device gets confused and gives nonsensical numbers. Also, that's some impressive competitive price here!
